<\/p>\nTFP Bureau, Raipur, December 25, 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 23 development projects worth \u20b9186.98 crore in the Raipur Municipal Corporation area, signalling a major push to strengthen urban infrastructure in the state capital. The programme was organised at the Fundahar sports ground in Raipur.<\/p>\n
Of the total projects, foundation stones were laid for 17 works with an estimated cost of \u20b9185.49 crore, while six completed projects worth \u20b91.49 crore were formally inaugurated.<\/p>\n
Among the inaugurated projects were the Sindoor Path constructed at Telibandha Chowk at a cost of \u20b91 crore, the Atal Complex developed at Fundahar Chowk on the Atal Expressway at a cost of \u20b949 lakh, and box cricket pitches constructed near the Court Complex as well as beneath the ISBT, Mowa Bridge and Vidhan Sabha Bridge. These projects aim to enhance recreational facilities and improve urban aesthetics.<\/p>\n
The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for two working women\u2019s hostels, one behind Pandri Bus Stand at a cost of \u20b914.71 crore and another near Naraiya Talab costing \u20b914.66 crore, strengthening facilities for working women in the city. He also laid the foundation for a Technical Tower near Telibandha Chowk, estimated at \u20b939.31 crore.<\/p>\n
Under the Chief Minister\u2019s Urban Development Scheme, a new water reservoir with a capacity of 2,500 kilolitres will be constructed in Khamhardih at a cost of \u20b920.93 crore to improve water supply. Foundation stones were also laid for the Nalanda Complex near Daldal Sivani Amusement Park at a cost of \u20b911.42 crore and for the Gaurav Path road from Pachpedi Naka to CSEB Chowk costing \u20b913.39 crore.<\/p>\n
The Chief Minister further laid the foundation stone for a PM E-Bus Depot at a cost of \u20b911.17 crore, along with an electric sub-station for the depot costing \u20b92.79 crore, strengthening sustainable urban transport infrastructure.<\/p>\n
Several road, drainage and pipeline projects were also launched, including works worth \u20b935.73 crore for rising and distribution pipelines in Labhandi and Fundahar, \u20b91.94 crore for drain reconstruction from MLA Colony through Avinash Van to NH-53, \u20b93.23 crore for CC roads and drain construction under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and \u20b91.98 crore for RCC covered drains near Shri Ram Temple.<\/p>\n
Additional projects included road strengthening and BT renewal works worth \u20b93 crore each in the Raipur-Rural and Raipur-North assembly constituencies, \u20b92.99 crore for road strengthening from Datarenga Mod to Chandra Town on Mahadev Ghat Road in Raipur-South, \u20b92.52 crore for road repair and BT topping at various locations, and \u20b92.71 crore for BT topping and patch repair on city roads.<\/p>\n
During the programme, the Chief Minister also distributed building construction permits to five beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0. The beneficiaries included Kanti Dhidhi, Ajay Sharma, Yogesh Sahu, Pawan Sahu and Kashiram Verma. He also handed over cheques of \u20b950,000 each to five beneficiaries of the PM SVANidhi scheme, including Uma Joshi, Phoolbai Giri, Nisha Dwivedi, Rampyari and Bhagwati Yadav.<\/p>\n
The launch of these projects is expected to significantly improve urban infrastructure, housing support, water supply, transport and civic amenities in Raipur, while also generating employment and strengthening public service delivery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
