TFP Bureau, Raipur, December 28, 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday unveiled the State Government Calendar for the year 2026 at a brief ceremony held at his Residence Office in the state capital. The calendar has been designed around the theme of \u2018Mahtari Gaurav Varsh\u2019, which the state government will observe throughout 2026, underscoring its commitment to women\u2019s dignity, empowerment and inclusive development.<\/p>\n

The cover page of the calendar prominently features the five revered Shakti Peeths of Chhattisgarh\u2014Maa Bamleshwari of Dongargarh, Maa Mahamaya of Ratanpur, Maa Danteshwari of Dantewada, Maa Chandrahansini of Chandrapur and Maa Kudargarhi of Surajpur\u2014symbolising the spiritual and cultural foundations of the state. Portraits of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai are also included. The background artistically depicts landmarks such as the ancient temples of Sirpur and Rajim, tribal traditions, Madheshwar Hill and the iconic Chitrakote Waterfall, reflecting Chhattisgarh\u2019s rich cultural and natural heritage.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Sai said respect for \u2018Matra Shakti\u2019 and the empowerment of women remain the state government\u2019s highest priority. Declaring 2026 as Mahtari Gaurav Varsh, he said the year is dedicated to strengthening women\u2019s dignity, safety and economic self-reliance. The calendar, he added, mirrors the government\u2019s development priorities, achievements and its resolve to build a strong and prosperous Chhattisgarh through inclusive growth. The Chief Minister noted that the calendar also serves as a visual representation of the state\u2019s welfare schemes and social initiatives, particularly those focused on women and children, which play a crucial role in shaping a progressive and self-reliant society.<\/p>\n

Each month of the calendar highlights a key government scheme, campaign or social theme. January showcases the major Shakti Peeths of the state, while February focuses on the National Intensified Pulse Polio Campaign. March is dedicated to the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, and April highlights the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana. May features the Tendu Leaf Collection and the Charan Paduka Scheme, and June emphasises the Beti Bachao\u2013Beti Padhao campaign.<\/p>\n

July highlights the initiative of issuing PDS ration cards in the name of women heads of households. August reflects the spirit of Raksha Bandhan, while September focuses on the Didi E-Rickshaw Assistance Scheme. October is themed around Shaurya, symbolising valour and bravery.
