TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 4, 2026: Chhattisgarh has scripted a major national achievement in Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026<\/em>, securing the first position in the country in terms of parental participation. The milestone underscores the state\u2019s growing emphasis on creating a supportive, stress-free examination environment for students through active involvement of parents and teachers.<\/p>\n

According to official figures, a total of 25.16 lakh participants from Chhattisgarh have registered so far for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led initiative. This includes 22.75 lakh students, 1.55 lakh teachers and 81,533 parents. With this performance, Chhattisgarh ranks fourth nationally in overall registrations, while topping the country in parental participation.<\/p>\n

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai termed the achievement a matter of pride for the state, stating that it reflects a positive change in societal attitudes towards examinations. He said the rising involvement of parents indicates growing awareness about reducing academic pressure on children and strengthening their confidence.<\/p>\n

District-level data further highlights the scale of participation. Balodabazar district recorded registrations from 14,658 parents, while Sarangarh\u2013Bilaigarh saw 9,952 parents signing up, reflecting strong grassroots engagement. Officials noted that the achievement is not merely numerical but signifies a broader cultural shift towards viewing examinations as a learning experience rather than a source of stress.<\/p>\n

The success has been driven by a series of innovative and coordinated efforts across the state. District-level review meetings were conducted regularly, on-the-spot registration facilities were set up at teacher-training centres, and community outreach was strengthened through youth clubs and the Angna Ma Shiksha<\/em> programme. Teacher-parent conferences and mega PTMs also played a key role in spreading awareness.<\/p>\n

A standout initiative was the Pariksha Pe Charcha Mela<\/em> organised in Sarangarh\u2013Bilaigarh, where more than 10,000 registrations were recorded in a single day\u2014far exceeding the earlier daily average of around 1,500. Inspired by this success, similar melas are now being organised across other districts, with enthusiastic participation from schools, teachers, parents and students.\"\"<\/p>\n

Personal stories are also adding momentum to the campaign. Kumari Yuktamukhi, a participant from last year, shared her experience and appealed to students to actively register and ask questions, sparking renewed enthusiasm and confidence among peers.<\/p>\n

Special efforts were also made to boost teacher participation. Registration counters were set up at training venues, where educators were briefed on the initiative and assisted with on-the-spot enrolment, resulting in a substantial increase in teacher registrations.<\/p>\n

With registrations open until January 11, 2026, officials are optimistic that Chhattisgarh will cross the three-million mark, further strengthening its national standing.<\/p>\n

Pariksha Pe Charcha<\/em> is an annual interactive programme in which the Prime Minister directly engages with students, teachers and parents, offering guidance on exam-related stress, time management and confidence-building. Over the years, the initiative has evolved into a mass movement promoting the idea that examinations should be celebrated as a festival rather than feared.<\/p>\n
