239 meritorious students from 2024 and 2025 board exams receive certificates, medals and \u20b91.5 lakh incentive each at Lok Bhawan ceremony<\/em><\/h4>\n

TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 23, 2026: Meritorious students of Classes 10 and 12 were felicitated at a grand ceremony held at Lok Bhawan on Thursday under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Meritorious Student Encouragement Scheme. The programme was held under the chief patronage of Governor Shri Ramen Deka and chaired by Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai. School Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav attended the event as a special guest.<\/p>\n

The felicitation ceremony was organised by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) at the Chhattisgarh Mandapam, Lok Bhawan. A total of 239 meritorious students from the 2024 and 2025 Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations were honoured with medals, certificates of appreciation and a cash incentive of \u20b91.5 lakh each, which was directly transferred to their bank accounts.<\/p>\n

Students from 2024 and 2025 Batches Honoured<\/strong>
\nOf the total awardees, 110 topper students belonged to the 2024 examination batch, while 129 students were from the 2025 batch. Students securing the first position in the merit list of High School and Higher Secondary examinations were awarded gold medals, while second-rank holders received silver medals. In addition, top-performing students from the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) were also specially felicitated for their academic excellence.<\/p>\n

Governor Calls Board Exams First Milestone of Life<\/strong>
\nAddressing the gathering, Governor Shri Ramen Deka congratulated all the award-winning students and described board examinations as the first important milestone in the journey towards achieving life goals. He said that while this success opens the door to future opportunities, it also serves as a source of inspiration for other students to work hard with dedication and discipline.\"\"<\/p>\n

Highlighting the potential of the State, the Governor said Chhattisgarh, known as the \u201crice bowl of India,\u201d is steadily carving out a distinct identity in the field of education as well. He urged students to take pride in the rich and ancient culture of Chhattisgarh, calling it a source of strength and inspiration.<\/p>\n

Shri Deka also advised students not to lose heart if they fail to clear competitive examinations such as IIT or NEET, noting that there are numerous emerging fields offering vast career opportunities. Emphasising patience, perseverance and innovation, he said that falling is not a failure, but rising after a fall is what truly matters. He particularly appreciated the achievements of students from PVTG communities, calling their success highly commendable.<\/p>\n

CM Says Students Are the Future of State and Nation<\/strong>
\nChief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, in his address, said that students are the future of both the State and the country, and a significant responsibility of nation-building rests on their shoulders. He attributed the success of the students to the blessings and guidance of their teachers and parents, stating that such achievements are not possible without their support.\"\"<\/p>\n

Congratulating the students on their outstanding performance, the Chief Minister also extended his best wishes on the occasion of Basant Panchami and expressed hope that the blessings of Goddess Saraswati would always guide them on the path of knowledge and wisdom.<\/p>\n

Education Minister Highlights Impact of Incentive Scheme<\/strong>
\nSchool Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav informed that the incentive of \u20b91.5 lakh given to each meritorious student would help nurture their interest in education and motivate them to pursue higher goals. He said the scheme not only rewards excellence but also inspires other students to strive for academic achievement.<\/p>\n

Senior Officials, Public Representatives Present<\/strong>
\nThe welcome address at the ceremony was delivered by Chairperson of the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, Mrs. Renu G. Pillai, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Board Secretary Mrs. Pushpa Sahu.<\/p>\n
