The digital push spans the entire value chain, including the supply chain, potline, cast house, rolled products and carbon facilities, with the objective of improving operational efficiency, enhancing product quality, strengthening safety standards and reinforcing robust governance practices.<\/p>\n

As digitalisation emerges as a key driver of competitiveness in the global metals and mining sector, BALCO\u2019s initiatives are aligned with Vedanta Aluminium\u2019s broader vision of building future-ready operations anchored in technology-led intelligence and data-driven decision-making. To strengthen quality assurance and customer confidence, BALCO has introduced the Quality Sankalp App, a digital platform that enables real-time monitoring of quality parameters on the shopfloor. The app allows employees to capture, track and review quality observations systematically, ensuring timely corrective actions and continuous improvement. In addition to quality monitoring, the platform integrates asset optimisation and health, safety and environment (HSE) observations, creating a unified framework for operational excellence.<\/p>\n

The complete digitalisation of the Coal Laboratory has enabled automated data capture, real-time reporting and seamless integration of key test parameters such as moisture, ash, volatile matter and sulphur.
