<\/p>\nTFP Bureau, Korba, February 5, 2026: Reinforcing its \u201cCommunity First\u201d philosophy, the Adani Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of Korba Power Limited (KPL), has intensified its efforts to strengthen education, healthcare and basic infrastructure in villages surrounding its operations in Korba district. Through a series of targeted interventions, the Foundation has impacted thousands of students and villagers, drawing appreciation from local communities for its holistic approach to rural development.<\/p>\n
As part of its focus on improving educational infrastructure and ensuring student safety, the Adani Foundation recently inaugurated newly constructed boundary walls at government primary and middle schools in Khoddal and Sargabundia gram panchayats. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of school officials, teachers, students, parents, local public representatives and villagers, who collectively acknowledged the positive impact of the initiative on the learning environment and village security.<\/p>\n
The boundary wall at Khoddal serves multiple purposes, securing not only the school premises but also adjacent public infrastructure including the village panchayat office, two Anganwadi centres, a community stage, an overhead water tank, high-mast lighting installations and space earmarked for a proposed RO-based drinking water plant. The second boundary wall, constructed in the Rishdihapara area, has been designed to facilitate future government infrastructure projects, enabling planned development in the locality.<\/p>\n
Under its Clean School Campaign, the Adani Foundation has also prioritised sanitation and hygiene in rural schools. Separate toilets for boys and girls were inaugurated at the government school in Darrabhata village under Patadhi gram panchayat. Teachers, students, parents and residents welcomed the initiative, highlighting its importance in promoting hygiene, improving attendance and ensuring dignity and comfort for girl students. Education support has remained a central pillar of the Foundation\u2019s community outreach. During the current year, school kits comprising bags, notebooks, stationery and geometry boxes have been distributed to over 4,100 students across 46 government schools in villages such as Kudurmal, Urga, Akharapali, Baridih, Katbitla, Sandail, Baisamuda and Sarayadih. These efforts aim to reduce the financial burden on families and encourage regular school attendance, particularly among children from economically weaker households.<\/p>\n
Healthcare outreach has also seen sustained momentum. The Adani Foundation has organised six free medical camps covering 12 villages, benefiting more than 2,500 villagers. Residents received medical consultations, basic diagnostic services and free medicines during these camps, which were held in areas including Katbitla, Baridih, Pahanda and Patadi. The camps addressed common health concerns while also creating awareness about preventive care and healthy living practices.<\/p>\n
Throughout these initiatives, village officials, school staff, parents and local residents expressed gratitude to the Adani Foundation and Korba Power Limited for their consistent engagement with community needs. Many villagers noted that the interventions have led to visible improvements in safety, access to healthcare and educational resources, while also strengthening trust and cooperation between the local communities and the industrial establishment.<\/p>\n
