TFP Bureau, Raipur, February 12, 2026: The Chhattisgarh government has approved revised guideline rates for land and property transactions in Bilaspur, Korea and Sarangarh-Bilaigarh districts, with the updated rates set to come into force from February 13. Officials said the revision is part of an ongoing statewide exercise aimed at ensuring realistic valuation of properties, improving transparency in registrations and aligning official rates with prevailing market trends.<\/p>\n
According to the Registration Department, guideline rates across the state were last notified on November 20, 2025, following which district authorities were instructed to assess local conditions and submit proposals wherever revisions were necessary. Acting on this directive, District Evaluation Committees in the three districts carried out field assessments, analysed property trends, consulted relevant data and submitted their recommendations to the Central Evaluation Board for consideration.<\/p>\n
The proposals were examined in detail during a meeting of the Central Evaluation Board chaired by the Deputy Inspector General of Registration. Officials said the Board undertook a comprehensive review of the submissions, evaluating factors such as land demand, recent transaction values, development patterns, infrastructure expansion and regional economic activity before granting approval for the revised rates.<\/p>\n
With the approval now granted, the updated guideline values will officially apply to property registrations, stamp duty calculations and related transactions in the three districts from February 13. Authorities stated that the revision is expected to streamline valuation processes, reduce discrepancies between market prices and official records, and strengthen revenue transparency.<\/p>\n
Citizens, property buyers, sellers, developers and other stakeholders can obtain detailed information about the revised rates from the respective district registration offices or through the department\u2019s official website. Officials added that similar revisions for other districts will be rolled out in phases after proposals from their respective District Evaluation Committees are reviewed and approved.<\/p>\n
