State aligning development roadmap with Viksit Bharat vision; industry, investment, and security gains highlighted<\/em><\/h4>\n

TFP Bureau, Raipur, February. 25, 2026: Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday said Chhattisgarh is steadily advancing toward a developed future in sync with the national vision of a Viksit Bharat<\/em>, asserting that the state has created a conducive environment for trade and industry alongside its strong agricultural base.<\/p>\n

Addressing the closing ceremony of the National Trade Expo 2026 organised by the Confederation of All India Traders at BTI Ground in Raipur, the Chief Minister invited traders and industrialists to invest in the state, citing policy reforms, infrastructure expansion, and sectoral incentives.<\/p>\n

Budget Themes Focus on Inclusive Growth<\/h3>\n

Sai highlighted that the \u20b91.72-lakh-crore state budget for 2026\u201327 builds on earlier thematic budgets \u2014 \u201cGYAN\u201d focusing on the poor, youth, farmers, and women; \u201cGATI\u201d emphasising momentum; and this year\u2019s \u201cSANKALP,\u201d which underscores commitment to holistic development. He said the budget reflects the governance mantra of Prime Minister Narendra Modi centred on inclusive growth and collective effort, with special emphasis on the Bastar and Surguja regions.<\/p>\n

Push to End Extremism, Boost Development<\/h3>\n

Describing Bastar as geographically larger than Kerala and rich in natural beauty, Sai said decades of Naxal violence had hindered progress, but the situation has improved significantly under coordinated efforts led by the Centre and security forces. He credited Union Home Minister Amit Shah and security personnel for intensifying operations and reiterated the goal of eliminating Naxalism by March 31, 2026.<\/p>\n

The government, he added, is prioritising development in previously affected areas, including plans for Education Cities in remote regions such as Abujhmad and Jagargunda, along with initiatives to promote agriculture and value addition of forest produce.\"\"<\/p>\n

Investment Momentum and Vision 2047<\/h3>\n

Nearly 44% of the state\u2019s geographical area is under forest cover, the Chief Minister said, noting that over seven crore saplings have been planted under a nationwide campaign. He added that the state aims to double its GSDP growth rate within five years and raise its economy to \u20b975 lakh crore by 2047 under a long-term vision blueprint.<\/p>\n

According to Sai, investment meets in major cities have already attracted proposals worth about \u20b98 lakh crore, including projects in sunrise sectors such as semiconductors and artificial intelligence. He stressed that the trading community will play a decisive role in achieving the 2047 development target.<\/p>\n

Expo Participation and Dignitaries<\/h3>\n

The Chief Minister toured exhibition stalls, interacted with participants, and released a Swadeshi poster during the event.
