Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma says strengthening infrastructure key to accelerating rural development<\/em><\/h4>\n

TFP Bureau, Raipur, March 15,2026: Chhattisgarh Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma on Sunday performed the Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of the Nawapara\u2013Sakri\u2013Satbhanwa road at Sakri village in Simga block, marking the beginning of a major infrastructure project aimed at improving connectivity and boosting rural development in the region.<\/p>\n

The road project, which includes the construction of bridges and culverts, will be built at an estimated cost of \u20b97.82 crore. The ceremony was conducted with traditional rituals in the presence of local public representatives and villagers.<\/p>\n

Addressing the gathering, the minister said that improving road connectivity remains a key priority of the state government as it plays a crucial role in strengthening the rural economy and ensuring easier access to essential services. He noted that the Nawapara\u2013Sakri\u2013Satbhanwa road will significantly reduce travel difficulties for residents and facilitate faster movement between villages and nearby towns.<\/p>\n

Verma said that the project would not only improve daily commuting for villagers but would also help farmers transport agricultural produce to markets more efficiently. Better connectivity, he added, would also enhance access to education, healthcare facilities and government services for people living in remote areas.<\/p>\n

The minister emphasised that the state government is consistently working to strengthen infrastructure across Chhattisgarh by expanding road networks and upgrading existing routes. According to him, several important road construction proposals have been approved in the district during the current period as part of a broader effort to improve connectivity between rural and urban areas.\"\"<\/p>\n

He said the development of high-quality road networks will help integrate villages with major towns and district headquarters, promoting economic activity and improving the overall quality of life for rural residents.<\/p>\n

Verma also highlighted the government\u2019s initiatives for farmers, stating that agriculture remains a central focus of development policies in the state. He said the government ensured that paddy was procured from farmers at the Minimum Support Price, providing them financial security.<\/p>\n

In addition, he noted that the remaining balance amount under the Krishak Unnati Yojana was transferred to farmers as a lump-sum payment before the festival of Holi, offering additional financial support to the farming community.<\/p>\n

The minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the state government has been working to implement several commitments made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He added that many of the key guarantees announced for the welfare of farmers, rural communities and the overall development of the state are being fulfilled.<\/p>\n

Verma urged people to actively participate in development initiatives and work collectively towards the national vision of building a developed India by 2047.<\/p>\n

Several public representatives and local leaders attended the programme, including Janpad Panchayat President Daulatram Pal and District Panchayat Member Mohan Verma.
