Departments asked to notify citizen services under the Act and ensure time-bound delivery through online platforms<\/em><\/h3>\n

TFP Bureau, Raipur, April 9,2026: Emphasising time-bound and transparent delivery of government services, Vikasheel directed all departments to bring every public-facing service under the ambit of the Chhattisgarh Public Service Guarantee Act.<\/p>\n

Chairing a review meeting at Mahanadi Bhawan in Raipur on Wednesday, the Chief Secretary held discussions with secretaries and senior officials of various departments regarding the implementation of services covered under the Act.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the Chief Secretary instructed departments to identify all services that directly impact citizens and notify them under the Public Service Guarantee Act. He also directed officials to ensure that these services are made available online and delivered to beneficiaries within the stipulated timeframe.<\/p>\n

Vikasheel warned that failure to provide services within the prescribed timeline would invite accountability and action against the responsible officials as per rules. At the same time, he said officers demonstrating exemplary performance in delivering services efficiently under the Act would be encouraged and rewarded.<\/p>\n

The Chief Secretary also conducted a detailed review of the current status of services already notified under the Act across departments. Officials were asked to identify additional services that could be included under its framework and submit a comprehensive list to the Department of Good Governance and Convergence.<\/p>\n

Addressing the meeting, Rahul Bhagat, Secretary of the Department of Good Governance and Convergence, made a presentation on departmental services currently covered under the Act. He informed that the department has studied similar legislations and service frameworks in other states to strengthen implementation in Chhattisgarh.\"\"<\/p>\n

Bhagat said a preliminary mapping of parallel and existing services being delivered by various departments in the state has already been undertaken. Departments have been asked to identify additional services that can be notified under the Act to improve accessibility and efficiency in public service delivery.<\/p>\n

Senior officials present at the meeting included Manoj Kumar Pingua, Additional Chief Secretary (Home); Niharika Barik, Principal Secretary (Panchayat and Rural Development); Sonmani Bora, Principal Secretary (Tribal Welfare); Shahla Nigar, Principal Secretary (Agriculture and Farmers\u2019 Welfare); P. Dayanand, Secretary (Mineral Resources); Mukesh Kumar Bansal, Secretary (Finance and Commercial Taxes); Rohit Yadav, Secretary (Energy and Public Relations); Basavaraju S., Secretary (Urban Administration and Development); R. Sangita, Secretary (Commercial Taxes\u2013Excise); Bhuvnesh Yadav, Secretary (Social Welfare); Yashwant Kumar, Secretary (Sports and Youth Welfare); and Shyamlal Dhawade, Secretary (Village Industries), along with representatives from several other departments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
