Minister Tankram Verma says youth will play a decisive role in building a developed India by 2047<\/em><\/h3>\n

TFP Bureau, Raipur, April 25, 2026: The two-day Yuva Fest-2026<\/strong> concluded on a high note at the PG College campus in Dhamtari, drawing enthusiastic participation from young people across the district and celebrating the vibrant blend of Chhattisgarhi culture, talent and contemporary music.<\/p>\n

The youth festival, organised through the joint efforts of the Education Department and the college administration, provided a dynamic platform for students to showcase their abilities in culture, sports, academics and innovation. The concluding day witnessed a festive atmosphere as performances, competitions and musical presentations energized the campus and attracted large crowds.<\/p>\n

Addressing the closing ceremony, State Minister for Revenue and Higher Education Tankram Verma<\/strong> emphasised the importance of youth participation in nation-building. He said that young people are the strongest pillars for realising the vision of Viksit Bharat-2047<\/em> and must channel their creativity, skills and energy towards the development of the nation.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvents like Yuva Fest offer young people an opportunity to showcase their talents and develop self-confidence. The youth of today will shape the future of the country and must actively contribute to the mission of building a developed India,\u201d Verma said.<\/p>\n

The minister also urged students to draw inspiration from the ideals of Swami Vivekananda<\/strong>, encouraging them to cultivate leadership, innovation and a strong sense of social responsibility. Highlighting several youth-oriented initiatives launched by both the Central and State governments, he called upon young people to take advantage of these programmes in areas such as education, entrepreneurship, skill development and employment.<\/p>\n

Dayra Band\u2019s \u2018Jadu Bastar\u2019 Steals the Show<\/h3>\n

The highlight of the concluding evening was the electrifying performance by the Dayra Band<\/strong>, popularly known for its musical presentation \u201cJadu Bastar.\u201d<\/em> The band enthralled the audience with a unique fusion of traditional Chhattisgarhi folk rhythms and modern musical arrangements.<\/p>\n

Their energetic performance transformed the college campus into a lively cultural arena as students and visitors swayed to the beats of folk instruments blended with contemporary music. The performance received enthusiastic applause from the audience and emerged as one of the most memorable moments of the festival.<\/p>\n

Students from several institutions participated enthusiastically in the competitions, displaying remarkable creativity and competitive spirit. PG College, Dhamtari<\/strong>, delivered an outstanding performance across multiple categories and secured the coveted Running Trophy<\/strong> for overall excellence.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the occasion, Collector Abinash Mishra<\/strong> said the main objective of Yuva Fest-2026 was to create a platform where young people could gain exposure to practical knowledge related to startups, skill development, arts and culture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He noted that the festival not only celebrated talent but also encouraged dialogue and exchange of ideas among students, educators and experts.
