TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 1,2026: In an effort to make the justice delivery system simpler, faster and more accessible for citizens, the Supreme Court of India has launched a nationwide initiative titled Samadhan Samaroh 2026, a special campaign aimed at resolving pending cases through mutual settlement.<\/p>\n
The campaign began on April 21 and will culminate in a Special Lok Adalat scheduled to be held on August 21, 22 and 23 within the premises of the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n
Under this initiative, suitable cases pending before the apex court will be taken up for settlement through dialogue, mediation and mutual consent of the parties. The move is expected to help reduce the backlog of cases while making the legal process more humane, time-bound and cost-effective.<\/p>\n
As part of the campaign, conciliation meetings are being organised across Chhattisgarh at the state, district and block levels through mediation centres functioning under the National Legal Services Authority and the Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority.<\/p>\n
Trained mediators and officials from the legal services authorities are assisting litigants in resolving their disputes amicably through negotiation and mediation.<\/p>\n
Conciliation talks under the campaign have been underway since April 21, and litigants can participate either in person or through virtual platforms. The initiative seeks to encourage parties to settle disputes voluntarily and avoid lengthy court proceedings.<\/p>\n
The Supreme Court has appealed to advocates, litigants and all stakeholders to actively participate in the initiative and take advantage of the opportunity to resolve disputes amicably.<\/p>\n
Citizens who wish to include their pending cases in the Samadhan Samaroh Special Lok Adalat can register by filling out an online form available on the official website of the Supreme Court before May 31.<\/p>\n
For assistance, litigants may contact the One-Stop Centre set up for the initiative at the Additional Building Complex of the Supreme Court or reach out through the helpline numbers provided by the court authorities.
