Over 68.5 lakh women receive 27th instalment under Mahtari Vandan Yojana; major infrastructure projects announced for district<\/em><\/h3>\n

TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 4, 2026: Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday participated in a public grievance redressal camp organised at Motipur in Rajnandgaon district as part of the state government\u2019s ongoing Sushasan Tihar.<\/p>\n

During the programme, the Chief Minister transferred more than \u20b9642 crore directly into the bank accounts of over 68.52 lakh women as the 27th instalment under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).<\/p>\n

The event was attended by Raman Singh, along with several public representatives, senior officials and a large number of beneficiaries.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, the Chief Minister announced several development initiatives aimed at strengthening infrastructure in Rajnandgaon and surrounding areas. Key projects include the construction of a new bypass on the Rajnandgaon\u2013Khairagarh highway at a cost of \u20b9200 crore.<\/p>\n

He also approved \u20b975 crore for widening the 35-km Tedesara\u2013Ghumka\u2013Bakal road and \u20b930 crore for the Dhangaon\u2013Indamara\u2013Bakal road to improve regional connectivity.<\/p>\n

For urban development, the government announced \u20b925 lakh each for Wards 1, 2, 3 and 8 to undertake local infrastructure works. Other announcements included the construction of a 15-room Circuit House near the Maa Bamleshwari Temple in Dongargarh, allocation of \u20b91 crore for a new Janpad Panchayat building in Rajnandgaon, and the development of a dedicated hockey training ground in the district.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister also announced that the responsibility of producing \u201cReady-to-Eat\u201d nutrition products would once again be entrusted to women\u2019s self-help groups to strengthen livelihood opportunities for rural women.\"\"<\/p>\n

Addressing the gathering, Shri Sai said that Sushasan Tihar represents the government\u2019s philosophy of direct outreach and responsive governance. The campaign, which began on May 1, will continue until June 10 and aims to resolve public grievances across the state through field visits and on-the-spot decisions.<\/p>\n

He emphasised that complaints raised by citizens during grievance camps must be addressed immediately and warned that strict action would be taken against officials found negligent or delaying public work.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister also highlighted the state\u2019s efforts to digitise public services, noting that more than 400 services are now available online through the e-District system, enabling citizens to access government facilities from home. He further announced that a Chief Minister Helpline with a toll-free number will soon be launched to ensure time-bound resolution of public complaints.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the impact of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Shri Sai said the initiative is strengthening the financial stability of families while enabling women to move towards self-employment and economic independence.<\/p>\n

During the programme, he also interacted with beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and PM JANMAN to gather feedback on the implementation of welfare programmes at the grassroots level.\"\"<\/p>\n

Speaking on the occasion, Raman Singh praised the Chief Minister\u2019s commitment to people-centric governance, noting that he is personally visiting even the remotest regions of the state to interact with citizens and review the progress of schemes. Despite intense summer heat, he said, the Chief Minister\u2019s continuous tours demonstrate the government\u2019s dedication to ensuring effective governance.<\/p>\n

Dr. Singh also highlighted major industrial initiatives in the district, including the establishment of an Electronic Manufacturing Cluster in Patewa village at an estimated cost of \u20b9345 crore and a Space Manufacturing Cluster in Bijetala village with an investment of \u20b925 crore. These projects are expected to generate employment opportunities and boost economic activity in the region.<\/p>\n

Among those present at the programme were Santosh Pandey, Madhusudan Yadav, Nilu Sharma, Yogesh Dutt Mishra, Chief Minister\u2019s Principal Secretary Subodh Kumar Singh and Special Secretary Rajat Bansal, along with other officials and a large gathering of citizens.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
