TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 15, 2026: Chhattisgarh\u2019s innovative Smart Registry Model<\/strong> has emerged as a noteworthy example of technology-driven governance in land registration services, drawing appreciation from senior officials of the Government of India. During a recent visit to the state, Narendra Bhushan lauded the digital reforms and citizen-centric initiatives undertaken by the state\u2019s Department of Registration and Stamps, describing the system as an inspiring model for other states across the country.<\/p>\n

The visit marked the third time within two months<\/strong> that officials from the Union Government have travelled to Chhattisgarh to study the state\u2019s digital registry system, highlighting the growing national interest in its Smart Registry System, Auto-Mutation mechanism, and other online public service platforms<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Detailed Review at State Secretariat<\/h3>\n

During his two-day visit, Mr. Bhushan conducted a comprehensive review of the Registration Department at the state secretariat, Mahanadi Bhawan. The meeting focused on examining the technological innovations introduced in the department and evaluating their impact on service delivery, transparency, and administrative efficiency.<\/p>\n

The review meeting was attended by senior officials including Nitin Khade and Shyam Kumar.<\/p>\n

During the session, Bhuvanesh Yadav and Pushpendra Kumar Meena presented a detailed overview of the reforms implemented in the department over the past two years.\"\"<\/p>\n

The presentation highlighted multiple initiatives aimed at improving public services, including the modernization of registration procedures, integration of digital platforms, enhancement of transparency, and simplification of processes for citizens. Smart Sub-Registrar Office Inspected<\/h3>\n

Following the review meeting, the Union Secretary visited the Smart Sub-Registrar Office<\/strong> located in the Central Business District area of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. During the inspection, he observed the end-to-end digital registration process<\/strong>, which is seamlessly integrated with the state\u2019s Auto-Mutation system<\/strong>, allowing property records to be updated automatically after registration.<\/p>\n

Officials briefed him about the complete workflow of the digital registration system, the technological framework supporting the process, and the facilities provided to citizens visiting the office. The system enables faster processing of documents, reduces manual intervention, and enhances transparency in property transactions.<\/p>\n

Expressing satisfaction with the initiative, Mr. Bhushan noted that the Smart Registry system is an effective step towards ensuring transparent, simplified, and time-bound services for citizens<\/strong>. He also indicated that the Government of India may consider framing a policy to replicate Chhattisgarh\u2019s Smart Office model<\/strong> at the national level.\"\"<\/p>\n

The Union Secretary also commended the leadership of Vishnu Deo Sai and O. P. Choudhary for prioritising administrative reforms and adopting technology to improve governance and public services.<\/p>\n

He observed that the modern infrastructure, citizen-friendly environment, and transparent work culture within the Smart Sub-Registrar Office reflect the state government\u2019s commitment to delivering efficient and accountable services.<\/p>\n
