<\/p>\nTFP Bureau, Raipur, May 20, 2026: Dareli village in Bijapur district, which remained isolated from the mainstream of development for decades due to the influence and fear of Naxal activity, is now witnessing a significant transformation. In a historic development, officials of the district administration reached the remote village for the first time in nearly four decades and successfully completed census operations that had never been carried out earlier.<\/p>\n
For many years, Dareli remained beyond the reach of government programs and administrative presence, and the village had even been left out of the 2011 national census. However, the recent visit of officials has marked the beginning of a new phase of governance, development, and public engagement in the region.<\/p>\n
The initiative has been undertaken under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and with the guidance of Forest Minister and district in-charge Kedar Kashyap, as part of the state government\u2019s efforts to ensure that welfare schemes reach even the most remote and previously inaccessible areas of Bastar division.<\/p>\n
During the visit, Bijapur Collector Vishwadeep, District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Namrata Chaubey, Census In-charge Officer Mukesh Dewangan, and Usur Sub-Divisional Magistrate Bhupendra Gavre conducted an extensive tour of Dareli village and interacted with local residents. The officials reviewed the village\u2019s socio-economic conditions and supervised the census exercise, which was completed successfully with the cooperation of the villagers.<\/p>\n
The arrival of administrative officials in the village generated an emotional and enthusiastic response from the local community. Villagers welcomed the team warmly and expressed happiness that government representatives had finally reached their doorstep after decades of isolation. Many residents described the census exercise as a historic moment for the village, symbolizing the beginning of their integration into the mainstream administrative framework.<\/p>\n
During the visit, the Collector also organized a chaupal, a community interaction session, where villagers were encouraged to openly discuss their concerns and development needs. In a notable incident during the tour, a local farmer approached the Collector with a grievance related to his land records. The farmer explained that despite the death of his father, the mutation of the family land had remained pending for a long time. Responding promptly to the complaint, the Collector issued immediate instructions to the revenue officials present at the site to complete the mutation process without delay and assured the farmer that he would personally monitor the progress of the case. The swift intervention by the administration deeply moved the farmer, who expressed his gratitude to the officials.<\/p>\n
The Collector also informed villagers about various welfare schemes being implemented by the government, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, which aims to provide housing assistance to eligible beneficiaries.
