Mass yoga sessions themed \u201cYoga for Healthy Ageing\u201d to be held from district headquarters to village panchayats, with Governor, Chief Minister and senior leaders leading events across the state<\/em><\/h3>\n

TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 17,2026: The Chhattisgarh government has completed preparations for large-scale celebrations of International Yoga Day on June 21, with mass yoga sessions themed \u201cYoga for Healthy Ageing\u201d scheduled to be held across the state from district headquarters to Gram Panchayat level.<\/p>\n

According to the General Administration Department, Governor Shri Ramen Deka, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy Chief Ministers, Cabinet ministers, Members of Parliament and Members of the Legislative Assembly have been assigned as chief guests for district-level programmes to encourage widespread public participation.<\/p>\n

In Raipur, the main state-level event will be held under the chief patronage of Governor Ramen Deka. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will lead the celebrations in Surguja district, where the mass yoga session is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. and will be presided over by Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal.<\/p>\n

Among other prominent dignitaries, Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu will attend the programme in Bilaspur, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao will participate in Durg, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma in Kabirdham, and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh in Rajnandgaon.<\/p>\n

Several state ministers have also been designated to lead district-level events, including Ramvichar Netam in Koriya, Dayaldas Baghel in Mahasamund, Kedar Kashyap in Sukma, Lakhan Lal Dewangan in Kanker, O.P. Choudhary in Janjgir-Champa, Tankram Verma in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, Lakshmi Rajwade in Balrampur-Ramanujganj, Rajesh Agrawal in Jashpur, Guru Khushwant Saheb in Korba and Gajendra Yadav in Balod.<\/p>\n

Members of Parliament and MLAs have likewise been assigned responsibilities for the observance in various districts. These include Brijmohan Agrawal in Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara, Vijay Baghel in Bemetara, Santosh Pandey in Mohla-Manpur-Chowki, Chintamani Maharaj in Surajpur, Rupkumari Chaudhary in Gariaband, Radheshyam Rathia in Raigarh, Kamlesh Jangde in Janjgir, Mahesh Kashyap in Narayanpur and Bhojraj Nag in Kondagaon.<\/p>\n

Among the MLAs designated as chief guests are Lata Usendi in Bijapur, Lalit Chandrakar in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, Pranav Kumar Marpachchi in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, Punnulal Mohle in Mungeli, Ajay Chandrakar in Dhamtari, Renuka Singh in Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, Kiran Singh Deo in Bastar and Chaitram Atami in Dantewada.<\/p>\n

Officials said district administrations have made final arrangements for the mass yoga programmes, which are expected to witness participation from thousands of citizens.
