Administration intensifies monitoring to curb black marketing as over \u20b937.79 crore in agricultural loans is disbursed to more than 10,000 farmers<\/em><\/h3>\n

TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 18,2026: The Jashpur district administration has made comprehensive arrangements to ensure an uninterrupted supply of fertilizers, seeds and agricultural credit for farmers during the ongoing Kharif season, while stepping up surveillance to prevent black marketing, hoarding and illegal sales of farm inputs.<\/p>\n

Officials from the Agriculture and Cooperation Departments said sufficient stocks of fertilizers and seeds have been positioned across the district\u2019s Tribal Service Cooperative Societies to meet farmers\u2019 requirements. Strict monitoring is also being carried out at cooperative outlets and private fertilizer dealerships to ensure fair distribution.<\/p>\n

According to Deputy Director of Agriculture M.R. Bhagat, fertilizers are being supplied in line with recommendations issued by Indira Gandhi Agricultural University. Farmers are being encouraged to adopt balanced fertilizer use along with green manuring and organic farming practices to improve soil health and sustain crop productivity.\"\"<\/p>\n

To improve accessibility, the number of cooperative societies in the district has been expanded from 24 to 44, reducing travel distances and transportation costs for farmers seeking agricultural inputs.<\/p>\n

At present, the district has a stock of 9,285 metric tonnes of chemical fertilizers across these societies, of which 3,681 metric tonnes have already been distributed. Similarly, 6,836 quintals of paddy seeds have been stocked, with 1,872 quintals supplied to farmers so far. Officials said inventories are being replenished regularly to meet expected demand during the sowing season.<\/p>\n

The district has also made significant progress in extending agricultural credit. Cooperative societies have disbursed loans amounting to \u20b937.79 crore to 10,187 farmers. Of the total, \u20b931.33 crore has been provided as cash loans, while \u20b96.46 crore has been extended in the form of input loans, helping cultivators make timely investments for agricultural operations.<\/p>\n

The Agriculture Department has assured farmers that adequate quantities of fertilizers, seeds and credit facilities will remain available throughout the season. Senior Agricultural Development Officers and Rural Agricultural Extension Officers have been tasked with conducting regular inspections and maintaining close oversight of distribution centres.<\/p>\n

The administration has also appealed to farmers to follow scientific recommendations for fertilizer use, adopt sustainable farming practices such as green manuring and organic cultivation, and promptly report any irregularities related to the sale or distribution of agricultural inputs so that swift action can be taken.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
