<\/p>\nTFP Bureau, Raipur, July 9,2026: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday unveiled the Chhattisgarh Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2.0 Framework and launched the ‘Bastar Anjor’ initiative, describing the twin initiatives as key steps towards achieving the vision of a developed Chhattisgarh through data-driven governance and measurable development outcomes.<\/p>\n
The SDG 2.0 Framework, prepared by the State Policy Commission, was released at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan in the presence of members of the Council of Ministers. The Chief Minister also released the Chhattisgarh SDG State and District Indicator Framework 2.0 and the accompanying Metadata Handbook.<\/p>\n
Addressing the gathering, Sai said effective implementation of government schemes, reliable data and continuous outcome-based monitoring are essential for building a developed state. He said the SDG 2.0 framework would strengthen evidence-based policymaking, improve coordination among departments and enable regular monitoring of development programmes, contributing to the state’s long-term vision of “Developed Chhattisgarh @2047.”<\/p>\n
The Chief Minister said the government’s objective is not merely to implement welfare schemes but to ensure that their benefits reach the last person in society. According to him, the new framework will make development more transparent, measurable and accountable.<\/p>\n
Under the revised framework, the number of development indicators has been increased from 275 to 343 at the state level and from 82 to 99 at the district level. The government said the expanded indicator framework would enable more comprehensive and scientific monitoring of development activities across sectors. The Metadata Handbook standardises the methodology for calculating and reporting each indicator to ensure consistency and data reliability.<\/p>\n
The event also marked the launch of ‘Bastar Anjor’, a convergence-based development initiative aimed at accelerating the holistic development of the Bastar division.<\/p>\n
State Policy Commission Vice-Chairman Ganesh Shankar Mishra explained that the initiative integrates three district-level programmes\u2014Niyad Nellanar 2.0, Bastar Munne and Swasth Bastar\u2014with four major national and state development frameworks, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Viksit Chhattisgarh @2047, and the Aspirational Districts and Blocks Programme.<\/p>\n
He said the model seeks to improve education, healthcare, livelihoods and infrastructure through better convergence of existing schemes and resources, without requiring additional financial allocations. The initiative is expected to promote inclusive, sustainable and measurable development across the tribal-dominated Bastar region.<\/p>\n
Deputy Chief Ministers Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma, Chief Secretary Vikas Sheel, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, ministers and senior administrative officials were present at the launch ceremony.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
