Two-day exhibition showcases over 280 photographs and draws more than 2,000 visitors at BALCO Township<\/strong><\/p>\n

TFP Bureau Korba, August 12, 2026: Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO), a unit of Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited, successfully concluded the fourth edition of its two-day photography exhibition, Malhar 4.0, at BALCO Township, celebrating creativity, nature, heritage and community life through the lens of its participants.<\/p>\n

The exhibition attracted more than 2,000 visitors, including BALCO employees, their families and school students. It featured over 280 photographs presented under three themes \u2014 Megh Malhar, Barkha and Dhara \u2014 capturing the changing moods of the sky, monsoon landscapes, nature, earth and everyday life.<\/p>\n

The closing ceremony featured the felicitation of winners by BALCO CEO and Whole-Time Director Rajesh Kumar Singh. Winners across the three competition categories were selected by an expert jury. This year’s edition also introduced a Viewer\u2019s Choice category, allowing visitors to select their favourite photograph through a QR code-based voting system.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the occasion, Singh said the photographs showcased at Malhar reflected the creativity and diverse perspectives within the BALCO community.<\/p>\n

He said that while technical proficiency remains important in the workplace, creativity, curiosity and imagination are equally valued. According to him, Malhar provides employees with a platform to express themselves and share their perspectives on the world around them.<\/p>\n

The exhibition has evolved into an annual platform for photography enthusiasts within the BALCO community. Mithila Pradhan, an employee and participant, said she had been contributing photographs to Malhar for the past three years and found the experience particularly meaningful this year as several of her friends also participated.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A major attraction of Malhar 4.0 was a special collection documenting BALCO’s heritage and evolution since its establishment in 1965. Through a series of archival photographs, the display offered visitors glimpses into the company’s journey, milestones and transformation over the decades.<\/p>\n

The exhibition also featured a curated collection of cameras tracing the evolution of photography, from classic cameras to contemporary digital devices. The display highlighted how technological advancements have transformed both photographic equipment and creative expression.<\/p>\n

With its combination of photography, heritage and community participation, Malhar 4.0 provided a platform for employees and their families to showcase their creativity while celebrating the people, environment and history that shape the BALCO community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
