TFP Bureau, Raipur, August 24, 2026: Residential infrastructure in Naya Raipur Atal Nagar is set for another major expansion, with the Chhattisgarh Housing and Infrastructure Development Board initiating a \u20b9119.89-crore housing project in Sector-12 Phase-2.<\/p>\n
Housing and Environment Minister O.P. Choudhary will perform the ground-breaking and foundation stone-laying ceremony for the project on August 25 at noon. Minister Guru Khushwant Saheb will attend as the special guest, while Board Chairman Anurag Singh Deo will preside over the programme.<\/p>\n
The project aims to provide modern and well-planned housing to families across different income groups, in response to the growing demand for residential properties in Naya Raipur Atal Nagar.<\/p>\n
Under the Sector-12 Phase-2 project, 348 buildings in the High Income Group (HIG) and Middle Income Group (MIG) categories will be constructed on the remaining 29.20 acres of land.<\/p>\n
The base sale price of the proposed units has been fixed between \u20b945.70 lakh and \u20b985.17 lakh. The project has attracted considerable interest amid increasing demand for housing in the rapidly developing capital region.<\/p>\n
The Housing Board is also planning to construct another 704 flats in Sector-12 Phase-2 in the upcoming phase.<\/p>\n
The proposed development will comprise 128 HIG, 320 MIG and 256 Low Income Group (LIG) flats. The base selling price of these units is expected to range from \u20b916.76 lakh to \u20b940.47 lakh.<\/p>\n
The initiative is aimed at expanding access to modern housing for families belonging to different income categories while supporting the planned development of Naya Raipur Atal Nagar.<\/p>\n
The Chhattisgarh Housing and Infrastructure Development Board has been developing residential colonies in Naya Raipur Atal Nagar in phases.<\/p>\n
The Board launched its first residential colony in 2007 over 154 acres in Sector-27. A total of 2,665 independent houses and flats were constructed, with the units completed and handed over to allottees by 2014.<\/p>\n
A second residential colony was launched in 2011 on 145 acres in Sector-29. Construction of 3,012 independent houses and flats was completed in 2015 and possession was subsequently handed over to the allottees.<\/p>\n
Housing projects under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana were initiated in 2016 across 43 acres in Sectors 16, 30 and 34. The project comprises 4,544 flats, including 2,312 units for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and 2,232 for the LIG category. Possession of 1,871 units has already been handed over to beneficiaries.<\/p>\n
In 2018, the Board launched another residential project on 40.06 acres in Sector-12 Phase-1. Construction and development of 450 independent HIG and MIG houses has been completed, and the units have been handed over to allottees.<\/p>\n
Naya Raipur Atal Nagar is emerging as a major centre for government and private-sector establishments, driving demand for residential properties in the area.<\/p>\n
The availability of modern infrastructure, improved connectivity, organised transportation, educational facilities, civic amenities and a relatively clean and pollution-free environment has contributed to the growing demand for housing.<\/p>\n
