Cabinet clears Chief Minister\u2019s Startup and NIPUN Mission, Export Promotion Policy 2026-30; raises upper age limit for government employees seeking higher posts from 38 to 45 years<\/h3>\n

TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 9, 2026: The Chhattisgarh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan on Wednesday, approved a series of major decisions aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, skill development, exports, employment and institutional infrastructure in the state.<\/p>\n

Among the key decisions was the approval of the Chief Minister\u2019s Startup and NIPUN Mission, for which an outlay of \u20b9500 crore has been earmarked over the next five years. The Cabinet also approved the Chhattisgarh Export Promotion Policy 2026-30, allotment of land for a National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) in Nava Raipur, an increase in the maximum age limit for government employees applying for other services and higher posts, and land arrangements for a new Durg District Court complex.<\/p>\n

\u20b9500 crore Startup and NIPUN Mission<\/h3>\n

The Cabinet approved the Chief Minister\u2019s Startup and NIPUN Mission to create new avenues of employment, skill development, entrepreneurship and innovation for the state\u2019s youth.<\/p>\n

Under the five-year mission, Entrepreneurship Development Centres will be established in all 33 districts, along with 100 Emerging Technology Labs and five Industry Excellence Centres.<\/p>\n

The NIPUN JOB Engine will focus on industry-aligned skill development and facilitate formal employment opportunities. The mission aims to encourage young people to become job creators rather than job seekers and establish Chhattisgarh as a hub for startups, innovation and technology-driven industries.<\/p>\n

New Export Promotion Policy 2026-30 approved<\/h3>\n

The Cabinet also approved the Chhattisgarh Export Promotion Policy 2026-30, with the objective of positioning the state among India\u2019s leading export hubs.<\/p>\n

The policy will focus on developing a robust export ecosystem and logistics infrastructure, improving market access and trade facilitation for exporters and promoting exports of value-added agricultural and industrial products.<\/p>\n

Entrepreneurs and exporters will be provided greater access to international markets through e-commerce platforms, trade fairs and exhibitions. The policy seeks to achieve both qualitative and quantitative growth in exports while strengthening the state\u2019s integration with national and global markets.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\u20b9200-crore NSTI to come up in Nava Raipur<\/h3>\n

The Cabinet approved the free allotment of 10 acres of land at Tendua village to the Directorate General of Training under the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for establishing a National Skill Training Institute in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.<\/p>\n

The institute is proposed to be developed at an estimated cost of \u20b9200 crore and will have modern academic, administrative and hostel facilities.<\/p>\n

It will have the capacity to provide industry-oriented technical and vocational training to 1,000 trainees annually through long-term courses and 3,000 trainees through short-term programmes.<\/p>\n

The institute is expected to expand opportunities for advanced skill training, internships and employment for youth and strengthen Nava Raipur\u2019s position as a centre for skill and technical education.<\/p>\n

Government employees to get wider age window for higher posts<\/h3>\n

In another significant decision, the Cabinet approved increasing the prescribed maximum age limit from 38 years to 45 years for permanent and temporary state government employees, employees of corporations, boards and autonomous institutions, contractual employees and Home Guards seeking to apply for other government services and higher posts.<\/p>\n

The move is aimed at providing employees working in government and affiliated institutions with greater opportunities to compete for higher positions and other services. The state government will issue consolidated standing guidelines in this regard.<\/p>\n

Land swap clears way for new Durg District Court<\/h3>\n

The Cabinet also approved the provision of four hectares of land near BIT College in Titurdih village for construction of a new building for the Durg District Court.<\/p>\n

The land, currently registered in the name of Bhilai Steel Plant, will be exchanged with 5.024 hectares of government land at Pahanda village in Patan tehsil. The market value of the two parcels is approximately equal.<\/p>\n

The decision is expected to facilitate the construction of a modern and well-planned district court complex in Durg and strengthen judicial infrastructure in the district.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
