CM Vishnu Deo Sai highlights \u20b98.23 lakh crore investment proposals, \u20b9500-crore startup mission and new opportunities for youth and entrepreneurs<\/h3>\n

TFP Bureau, Ambikapur, September 20, 2026: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday inaugurated the two-day Agra Mahakumbh-2026 in Ambikapur, highlighting the role of the Agarwal community in entrepreneurship, employment generation, philanthropy and social service.<\/p>\n

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sai said the community had contributed not only to trade and business but also to industrial development, employment generation and public welfare in Chhattisgarh. He referred to the ideals of Maharaja Agrasen, saying that social progress depended on equality, compassion, cooperation and opportunities for all.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister said the Agarwal community had maintained a tradition of combining wealth creation with social responsibility. He cited its contribution to health camps, educational and healthcare institutions, dharmashalas and other public service initiatives. Recalling the COVID-19 pandemic, he said community members had supported needy families by arranging oxygen, distributing essential supplies and organising health-related assistance.<\/p>\n

Mr. Sai said the State Government was working to create a transparent and industry-friendly environment to encourage investment, expand businesses and generate employment for young people. He said suggestions from entrepreneurs and experienced members of the business community had helped in making government policies more responsive to the needs of industry and society.<\/p>\n

\u20b98.23 lakh crore investment proposals received<\/h4>\n

Highlighting the Industrial Policy 2024-30, the Chief Minister said the policy had been designed with employment generation as a key focus. It provides incentives for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and includes provisions aimed at encouraging participation by women and other sections.<\/p>\n

The government has so far received investment proposals worth more than \u20b98.23 lakh crore, Mr. Sai said, adding that their implementation would expand industrial activity and create employment opportunities.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

He said tourism had been accorded industry status in the state, opening opportunities for investment in hotels, homestays and tourism-related services. The Surguja region, he said, had considerable potential in tourism, agriculture, food processing and local products.<\/p>\n

\u20b9500 crore startup mission<\/h4>\n

The Chief Minister said the government had approved the Chief Minister\u2019s Startup and Nipun Mission with an allocation of \u20b9500 crore over five years. Entrepreneurship Development Centres are proposed in all 33 districts under the initiative.<\/p>\n

The government also plans to establish 100 emerging technology laboratories and five Centres of Excellence to provide opportunities for young people in new technologies, skills, innovation and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

Mr. Sai urged young people to look beyond conventional employment and consider entrepreneurship as a means of creating jobs for others. He also emphasised the need to adopt technology and innovation while remaining connected with cultural and social values.<\/p>\n

The government has also approved the Chhattisgarh Export Promotion Policy 2026-30, aimed at connecting small industries, local products and value-added agricultural and industrial goods with domestic and international markets.<\/p>\n

Women and youth participation<\/h4>\n

The Chief Minister said the growing participation of women in business, education, healthcare, industry, startups and social service was strengthening families and the wider economy. He also welcomed the special sessions for women and youth organised as part of the Agra Mahakumbh.<\/p>\n

He said experienced entrepreneurs could play an important role in mentoring young entrepreneurs and helping small businesses expand through knowledge, experience and market connections.<\/p>\n

Mr. Sai also stressed the importance of health and yoga, saying that physical well-being should remain a priority despite professional and business responsibilities.<\/p>\n

Awards and trade fair<\/h4>\n

During the programme, the Chief Minister congratulated recipients of the Dasham Agra Alankaran, which recognises achievements in various fields.<\/p>\n

He also inaugurated a trade fair at the venue by cutting the ribbon and visited stalls displaying products and activities of participating entrepreneurs. Mr. Sai also released the Agrakul Darshan magazine.<\/p>\n

Tourism and Culture Minister Rajesh Agarwal said the Agra Mahakumbh provided an opportunity to reflect on social responsibility, organisational strength and the future direction of the community. He said the ideals associated with Maharaja Agrasen emphasised equality, cooperation, sensitivity and participation.<\/p>\n

The event was attended by Surguja MP Chintamani Maharaj, Basna MLA Sampat Agrawal, Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission Chairman Sanjay Agrawal, former Assembly Speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal, former Cabinet Minister Amar Agrawal, Collector Ajit Vasant and Senior Superintendent of Police Rajesh Agrawal, besides office-bearers of Agarwal organisations, social workers and public representatives.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
