TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 25, 2025 — Chhattisgarh is set to celebrate Republic Day with grandeur on January 26, with Governor Shri Ramen Deka hoisting the national flag in the state capital, Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai will lead the celebrations in Ambikapur, the divisional headquarters of Surguja, and take the salute of the ceremonial parade.
In district headquarters across the state, ministers, Members of Parliament (MPs), and Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) will unfurl the tricolor as chief guests and read out the Chief Minister’s Republic Day message.
Union Minister of State Mr. Tokhan Sahu will officiate in Korba, while Deputy Chief Ministers Mr. Arun Saw and Mr. Vijay Sharma will hoist the flag in Raigarh and Bastar, respectively. Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh will preside over the event in Durg.
The Republic Day celebrations will also see the participation of state ministers, including Tribal Development Minister Mr. Ramvichar Netam in Surajpur, Food Minister Mr. Dayaldas Baghel in Mahasamund, Forest Minister Mr. Kedar Kashyap in Dantewada, and Industry Minister Mr. Lakhan Lal Dewangan in Jashpur.
Other prominent events will be led by Health Minister Mr. Shyam Bihari Jaiswal in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, Finance Minister Mr. O.P. Choudhary in Bilaspur, Revenue Minister Mr. Tank Ram Verma in Rajnandgaon, and Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Laxmi Rajwade in Balrampur.
MPs and MLAs will also host Republic Day programs at various district headquarters. Highlights include MP Mr. Brijmohan Agarwal in Dhamtari, MP Mr. Vijay Baghel in Kabirdham, MP Mr. Santosh Pandey in Gariaband, and MP Mrs. Roopkumari Chaudhary in Balodabazar. Other districts such as Sukma, Bijapur, and Kondagaon will also witness their respective representatives hoisting the flag.
The state is prepared to honor the values of democracy and celebrate the contributions of its people with patriotism and unity on this Republic Day.
