TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 18, 2024: In a significant move benefiting educated unemployed individuals in the state, the Council of Ministers, led by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, announced a crucial decision to extend the relaxation period by five years in the maximum age limit for local residents of Chhattisgarh. This extension provides an additional opportunity for candidates, allowing them to avail a five-year age limit relaxation until December 31, 2028.
The maximum age limit for Chhattisgarh state residents had previously been set at 35 years, with a five-year relaxation period from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2028. The decision aims to cater to the interests of job seekers, particularly in the recruitment process for the District Police Constable Cadre of Chhattisgarh Police. An advertisement for 2259 vacant posts was issued in 2018, and a recent advertisement for 5967 vacant posts in the constable cadre was released on October 4, 2023. The online application process is currently underway, and the age relaxation is exclusively applicable to male candidates.
It’s important to note that all relaxations, including the five-year extension, maintain the maximum age limit at 45 years. However, it’s crucial to highlight that this relaxation will not apply to the Home (Police) Department.
Additionally, during the Council of Ministers meeting, another noteworthy decision was made to establish a sub-committee within the new Council of Ministers. This sub-committee will focus on the withdrawal of cases related to purely political movements from the honorable courts, reflecting a strategic move towards political and legal considerations.
