TFP Bureau, Raipur; March 14, 2024: A pivotal conference titled ‘Chhattisgarh Vision 2047’ is set to take place on Friday, March 15th, at a private hotel in Chhattisgarh. The conference, organized by the Chhattisgarh Environment Protection Board, aims to delve into the intricate balance between development and environmental conservation. Housing and Environment Minister Shri OP Choudhary will inaugurate the event, with Chief Secretary Shri Abhitabh Jain overseeing the proceedings.
The gathering seeks to propel the aspirations of ‘Viksit Bharat,’ India’s vision for comprehensive development. Participants from diverse sectors, including steel, coal, power, healthcare, and waste management, are expected to engage in dialogues. Noteworthy attendees include representatives from Integrated Steel and Sponge Iron Plants, Coal Washeries, Thermal Power Plants, and more. Additionally, municipal commissioners from key cities like Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, and Bhilai will contribute to the discourse.
Shedding light on the conference’s objectives, Chhattisgarh Environment Protection Board Member Secretary Shri P. Arun Prasad emphasized the paramount importance of balancing economic growth with environmental sustainability. The ultimate aim is to position Chhattisgarh as a developed state within India by its centennial year of Independence in 2047. ‘Chhattisgarh – Vision 2047’ serves as a vital platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas and proposals, charting a strategic roadmap for environmental protection over the next 25 years.
