President Murmu Confers Padma Awards 2025 at Rashtrapati Bhawan Ceremony

TFP Bureau, New Delhi, April 29, 2025: President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, today presented the Padma Awards for the year 2025 at the Civil Investiture Ceremony-I held at the Ganatantra Mandap of Rashtrapati Bhawan. A total of 71 distinguished personalities were honoured, including 4 Padma Vibhushan, 10 Padma Bhushan, and 57 Padma Shri awardees, recognizing their outstanding contributions across various fields.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah, several Union Ministers, and other dignitaries.

Tributes and Celebrations Scheduled

As part of the tradition, the Padma awardees will pay homage at the National War Memorial tomorrow morning, 29 April 2025. They are also scheduled to visit the Rashtrapati Bhawan and the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya during their engagements.

The Padma Awards, among India’s highest civilian honours, celebrate exceptional achievements in fields ranging from art, literature, and education to science, public affairs, and social service.
