“Jaitkham Taller Than Qutub Minar is the Pride of Satnami Community” – CM Vishnu Deo Sai

TFP Bureau, Raipur, July 27, 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday addressed the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected office bearers of the Satnami community at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium, Medical College Campus in Raipur. Praising the community’s contribution to the state’s social fabric, the Chief Minister announced key developmental initiatives and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to inclusive growth.

Referring to the towering Jaitkham at Girodpuri Dham, CM Sai said, “This structure, taller than the Qutub Minar, is a symbol of pride and identity for the Satnami community and has brought international recognition to Baba Guru Ghasidas’s teachings.” He emphasized that with Baba’s blessings and the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chhattisgarh is on course to becoming a developed state by 2047.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced a ₹1 crore grant for the construction of a multi-purpose community building for the Satnami Samaj in Raipur. He also approved ₹50 lakh to complete the pending works at Madwa Mahal in Girodpuri and declared a ₹5,000 cash incentive for meritorious students from the community who were felicitated during the event.

CM Sai highlighted the role of education in driving social transformation and urged the community to collectively focus on advancing literacy, unity, and self-reliance.

Former Chief Minister and current Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dr. Raman Singh also addressed the gathering. He congratulated the new leadership and lauded the community’s efforts in preserving and promoting the ideals of Baba Guru Ghasidas. “The Satnami community, through its values of peace and equality, has become a beacon for harmony and progress,” he said. Dr. Singh also praised the newly elected President, Mr. L.L. Kosle, for initiating the construction of a grand Dharamshala at Girodpuri Dham.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma called education and social unity the two pillars of progress. He recommended that meritorious students be recognised annually to motivate the youth. Food Minister Dayal Das Baghel encouraged the community to explore opportunities in trade, industry, and entrepreneurship. He announced a national seminar to be held at Girodpuri Dham, to be attended by spiritual leaders from across the country.

The event witnessed participation from a wide spectrum of political and spiritual leaders, including MP Kamlesh Jangde, MLA Punnulal Mohle, Guru Khushwant Saheb, and Progressive Satnami Samaj President Mr. L.L. Kosle.

Also present were MLAs Domanlal Korsewada, Uttari Jangde, Sheshraj Harvansh, Kavita Pran Lahare, and community representatives from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, Odisha, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Delhi. The function was also attended by leaders from other communities such as Sahu Samaj, Yadav Samaj, Kurmi Samaj, and Sarv Adivasi Samaj, underscoring a spirit of inclusivity and shared cultural pride.
