TFP Bureau, Raipur, October 7, 2025 — Once again, the talent and dedication of Chhattisgarh have shone on the national stage as Ms. Lakhni Sahu, an NSS volunteer from E. Visvesvaraya Engineering College, Korba, received the “MY Bharat NSS National Award (2022–23)” from President Smt. Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.
The recognition celebrates Lakhni Sahu’s exemplary contribution to community welfare and her outstanding commitment to the ideals of the National Service Scheme (NSS), a flagship youth programme promoting social responsibility and nation-building through voluntary service. Her achievement is a source of immense pride for both her institution and the entire state of Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai extended heartfelt congratulations to Lakhni Sahu, describing her as a true symbol of Chhattisgarh’s youth power and compassion. He said, “Lakhni Sahu has set an inspiring example in the field of social service. Her commitment and hard work show that when young people act with determination and purpose, positive change in society becomes inevitable.”
The Chief Minister further added that the state government is determined to channelize the energy and potential of the youth toward constructive initiatives that contribute to the development and transformation of the state. He expressed confidence that Lakhni’s achievement would motivate thousands of young people to participate in national service, community development, and social upliftment.
