Transparent recruitment drives securing the future of Chhattisgarh’s youth: CM Vishnu Deo Sai

TFP Bureau, Raipur, October 8: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday handed over appointment letters to 233 candidates selected for the post of Laboratory Technician in the Higher Education Department at a ceremony held in the auditorium of Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Sai said that transparent and merit-based recruitment processes have ensured a secure and promising future for the state’s youth. He informed that in the past 20 months, more than 10,000 youths have been appointed across various government departments, including Police, Electricity, Cooperative, Public Health Engineering, and Tribal Development.

The Chief Minister announced that recruitment for 700 Assistant Professors in the Higher Education Department and 5,000 teachers in the School Education Department will be conducted soon. “Today’s event marks a historic milestone as such a large number of appointment letters are being distributed simultaneously for the first time. This will contribute significantly to building a developed and self-reliant Chhattisgarh,” he said, congratulating the newly appointed candidates and urging them to serve with dedication and honesty.

Highlighting the government’s focus on employment generation, Chief Minister Sai said that Chhattisgarh’s new industrial policy has attracted investment proposals worth nearly ₹7 lakh crore, with several industrial units already under development. “These industries will open vast avenues of employment and prosperity, benefiting people across the state,” he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Higher Education Minister Tankaram Verma praised the government’s commitment to transparent recruitment, noting that under Chief Minister Sai’s leadership, every sector has witnessed significant transformation in the past 20 months. “The transparent selection and counselling process for these laboratory technician posts was completed in just three months without a single dispute — a commendable achievement,” he remarked, applauding the efforts of the Higher Education Department officials.

Minister Verma expressed confidence that the newly appointed technicians would strengthen academic and research infrastructure in colleges, contributing meaningfully to the vision of a developed Chhattisgarh.

Technical Education and Skill Development Minister Khuswant Saheb, Vice Chancellor of Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University Dr. Sachchidanand Shukla, Higher Education Secretary Dr. S. Bharatidasan, departmental officials, and the newly appointed laboratory technicians attended the event.
