TFP Bureau, Raipur, December 6, 2025: In a landmark effort to energise the state’s tourism sector, the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, in collaboration with IRCTC, is set to launch a series of specially curated tour packages under the Mukhyamantri Jan Paryatan Protsahan Yojana (Chief Minister’s Public Tourism Promotion Scheme). Encompassing destinations across Raipur and Bastar, the initiative aims to make travel more accessible while showcasing the state’s cultural, natural and spiritual wealth.
As part of this new initiative, four major tour packages will soon be operational from Raipur: the Raipur City Tour, the Raipur City Religious Tour, the Raipur–Jagdalpur Circuit Tour and the Raipur–Sirpur–Barnawapara Circuit Tour. Each itinerary is designed to offer air-conditioned travel, bilingual guides, meals and comprehensive insurance—providing tourists a safe and comfortable journey.
Highlighting the scheme’s significance, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said the initiative will make tourism accessible to ordinary citizens while strengthening Chhattisgarh’s identity on national and global platforms. Tourism Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal added that the scheme would not only promote local tourism but also create extensive livelihood opportunities by attracting visitors to the state’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Tour Packages at a Glance
Raipur City Tour (Day Excursion)
The tour covers prominent city attractions such as the Ram Temple, Urja Park, Purkhouti Muktangan, the Chhattisgarh Tribal Museum, Nandanvan Zoo and the Kaushalya Mata Temple. An AC vehicle, guide services, meals and insurance are included, with the journey beginning at Raipur Railway Station.
Raipur City Religious Tour (Day Excursion)
Focused on spiritual exploration, this route covers the Hanuman Temple, Maa Banjari Temple, Kaivalya Dham Jain Temple, ISKCON Temple, Mahamaya Temple, Danteshwari Mata Temple, Ram Temple and Kaushalya Mata Temple. The trip also begins and concludes at Raipur Railway Station.
Raipur–Jagdalpur Circuit Tour (2 Nights/3 Days)
This itinerary highlights the scenic splendour of Bastar, featuring stops at Jagdalpur, Chitrakote and Tirathgarh. Key attractions include Chitrakote Waterfalls, Kutumsar Caves, Kanger Valley National Park and the revered Danteshwari Temple. Accommodation is arranged on a double-sharing basis with meals.
Raipur–Sirpur–Barnawapara Circuit Tour (1 Night/2 Days)
Combining heritage with wildlife, this journey includes Sirpur’s ancient temples and the Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary. The package offers hotel accommodation, meals and a thrilling jungle safari.
Package Benefits and Eligibility
A minimum group size of 10 is required to avail the packages. Drinking water, meals, snacks and travel insurance are provided for every traveller. Children aged 2 to 18 years will receive an 85% subsidy, while adults are eligible for a 75% subsidy. All tours will commence and conclude at Raipur Railway Station.
Designed to stimulate local tourism and support community-based livelihoods, the scheme aims to provide immersive travel experiences while preserving Chhattisgarh’s cultural, ecological and spiritual heritage. The initiative reflects the Chief Minister’s vision of inclusive growth through tourism development, positioning the state as an emerging destination for travellers.
