Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Congratulates Successful Candidates from Chhattisgarh
TFP Bureau, New Delhi/Raipur, March 6: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Thursday declared the final results of the Civil Services Examination 2025, recommending 958 candidates for appointment to prestigious services including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and various Central Services under Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.
The results are based on the performance of candidates in the written examination held in August 2025 followed by the Personality Test (interviews) conducted between December 2025 and February 2026. The list of successful candidates has been prepared in order of merit after the completion of all stages of the examination process.
According to the official data released by UPSC, the 958 recommended candidates include 317 from the General category, 104 from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 306 from the Other Backward Classes (OBC), 158 from the Scheduled Castes (SC), and 73 from the Scheduled Tribes (ST). The list also includes candidates belonging to the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category across different subcategories.
UPSC has also maintained a Consolidated Reserve List of 258 candidates comprising 129 from the General category, 26 from EWS, 86 from OBC, 8 from SC, and 6 from ST, along with candidates from PwBD categories. In addition to the reserve list, the Commission has also prepared an Extended List as per the provisions of the Civil Services Examination Rules, 2025.
Appointments to various services will be made depending on the number of vacancies reported by the Government of India. According to the vacancy details shared by the Commission, a total of 1,087 vacancies are to be filled across different services. These include 180 posts in the Indian Administrative Service, 55 in the Indian Foreign Service, and 150 in the Indian Police Service. In addition, 507 vacancies are in Central Services Group ‘A’ and 195 vacancies in Group ‘B’ services. The total vacancy figure also includes 42 posts reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.
UPSC clarified that the claims of candidates regarding reservation under EWS, OBC, SC, ST and PwBD categories will be verified by the concerned authorities before final appointments are made. The candidature of 348 recommended candidates has been kept provisional, while the result of two candidates has been withheld.
Candidates seeking further information regarding the examination can contact the UPSC Facilitation Counter located at the Commission’s campus in New Delhi. The marks of all candidates are expected to be made available on the official UPSC website within 15 days of the declaration of the result.
Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated candidates from the state who achieved success in the highly competitive examination. In a message issued from Raipur, the Chief Minister extended his heartfelt appreciation to the successful candidates and said their achievement has brought pride to the state.
The Chief Minister especially congratulated Vaibhavi Agrawal, Darshana Singh Baghel, Diamond Singh Dhruv, Raunak Agrawal and Sanjay Dahariya for their notable success in the prestigious examination. He said their accomplishment reflects the dedication, perseverance and hard work of the youth of Chhattisgarh.
“The success of these talented young individuals is a matter of pride for the entire state. Their achievements demonstrate that with determination, disciplined preparation and clear goals, even the most challenging examinations can be conquered,” the Chief Minister said.
He added that the success of these candidates will serve as a powerful source of inspiration for thousands of students across the state who aspire to join the civil services. According to him, the achievements of these young officers will motivate aspiring students to pursue excellence in academics and public service.
Chief Minister Sai further expressed hope that the successful candidates will work with sincerity, integrity and dedication while serving the nation. He said the civil services provide an important platform for contributing to nation-building, social development and public welfare.
“The young achievers who have cleared this prestigious examination will now have the opportunity to serve society and contribute to the progress of the country. Their role in administration will be crucial in strengthening governance and delivering development to the people,” he said.
He wished all the successful candidates a bright future and expressed confidence that they will make significant contributions to the development of the country and the welfare of citizens while upholding the highest standards of public service.
