Chhattisgarh Government Announces Major Administrative Reshuffle in Forest Department

TFP Bureau, Raipur, April 29, 2025 – In a significant move to enhance administrative efficiency, the Chhattisgarh Government’s Department of Forest and Climate Change has issued new postings for several Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers. As per the order released from the Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur, 11 officers have been transferred and assigned new responsibilities with immediate effect.

The transfer order (No. ESTB-102(1)/141/2025-FOREST) issued today cites the realignment as necessary from an administrative standpoint. The officers will assume their new charges until further orders.

Key Transfers Announced

  • Alok Kumar Tiwari (2007 batch), previously posted as Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF) Keshkal, has been appointed Deputy Conservator of Forests (HQ), Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Office, Nava Raipur.

  • Vivekanand Jha (2009 batch), who was awaiting posting, will now serve as Deputy Chief Conservator of Forests (HQ) and Director, Timber Trading and Transit Rules Office, Raipur, and additional charge as Deputy Conservator of Forests (FMIS), Nava Raipur.

  • Satobisha Samajdar (2010 batch), earlier DCF (FMIS), has been reassigned similarly with added responsibilities at Timber Trading Office, Raipur.

  • Sujata Mandavi (2011 batch) from DFO Raigarh has been posted as In-charge Deputy Chief Conservator of Forests, Timber Trading Division, Jagdalpur.

  • Gurunathan N (2012 batch) from DFO Keshkal has been appointed Deputy Conservator of Forests (HQ), Principal Chief Conservator’s Office, Nava Raipur.

  • Priyanka Pandey (2012 batch), previously posted in Jashpur, will now join as Deputy Conservator of Forests (HQ), Principal Chief Conservator’s Office, Nava Raipur.

  • Pranay Mishra (2013 batch), who was working at the PCCF Office, will now serve as Joint Secretary, Forest and Climate Change Department, Mahanadi Bhawan (on deputation).

  • Ganveer Dharmjeet (2013 batch), Deputy Director, Jungle Safari Raipur, has been posted as DFO Balodabazar.

  • Raksha Kumar Jangde (2013 batch), DFO South Kondagaon, will take charge at the Balrampur State Forest Produce Federation.

  • Pankaj Rajput (2014 batch), DFO Mahasamund, has been reassigned to Keshkal as DFO.

  • Prabhakar Khadse (2014 batch), DFO Korea, will now serve as In-charge DCF, Forest Produce Federation, Ambikapur.

Aim to Boost Field-Level Efficiency

The reshuffle aims to strengthen field operations, enhance the execution of forest and environmental policies, and ensure better coordination across various forest divisions.

All officers have been directed to promptly take charge of their new responsibilities to avoid disruption in departmental functioning.
