CM Sai Unveils ₹186-Crore Development Package for Sarangarh-Bilaigarh

TFP Bureau, Raipur, August 11, 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development works worth ₹186 crore in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district, reaffirming that continuous expansion of public amenities remains a top priority for his government. Addressing a public gathering at Government Lochan Prasad Pandey College, CM Sai launched projects worth ₹96 crore and performed bhoomipujan for works valued at ₹90 crore. He also announced additional public utility projects worth ₹13.40 crore.

Highlighting his long association with Sarangarh, CM Sai said he has been working tirelessly for the past one-and-a-half years to advance the state’s growth in line with the guarantees given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He noted that farmers are receiving paddy procurement at 21 quintals per acre for ₹3,100 per quintal, construction of 18 lakh houses under PM Awas Yojana is progressing rapidly, and demand for masons has surged due to the pace of work.

He cited the Mahtari Vandan Yojana as a key driver of women’s empowerment, benefitting 70 lakh women across Chhattisgarh, with many starting small businesses from the monthly assistance. In Danasra village, women even pooled funds to build a Ram temple. CM Sai also mentioned higher procurement prices for tendu leaves, ₹10,000 annual assistance to 5.62 lakh landless agricultural labourers, and the Shri Ramlal Darshan Yojana, under which 22,000 devotees have visited Ayodhya.

Revenue and District In-charge Minister Tankaram Verma said the development drive in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh will greatly improve infrastructure and amenities. MP Radheshyam Rathiya and MLA Kiran Dev lauded the government’s focus on basic facilities, housing, and implementing PM Modi’s welfare schemes at the grassroots level.

Major announcements included ₹5 crore for Gaurav Path from Bharat Mata Chowk to Kosir Chowk, ₹3 crore for a new PG College building, ₹2.5 crore for Indoor Stadium renovation, ₹1 crore for a municipal garden, ₹1 crore for boys’ hostel repairs, ₹50 lakh for bus stand upgrades, and ₹40 lakh for a patient facility room at the new district hospital.

The programme was attended by Chhattisgarh Housing Board Chairman Anurag Singhdeo, senior officials, public representatives, and local residents.
