TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 5,2025: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai expressed strong displeasure over delays in road construction proposals in Janjgir-Champa district during a high-level review meeting held at the District Panchayat office on Monday. As part of the third phase of the state-wide Sushasan Tihar, the Chief Minister conducted an in-depth review of development works and public welfare schemes in Janjgir-Champa, Sakti, and Korba districts. He ordered officials to expedite pending approvals and emphasized that Collectors and Superintendents of Police will be held directly responsible for any negligence in works related to public interest.
Addressing a joint meeting of officials from all three districts, CM Sai reiterated his government’s commitment to transparent, responsive, and efficient administration. “We are not here to rest on past achievements. While a lot has been done in the last 18 months, we must now focus on speed, quality, and accountability,” he said. The Chief Minister instructed officers to increase field visits, maintain respectful engagement with citizens, and ensure honest delivery of services.
During the review, CM Sai took stock of key programs including Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana (Urban and Rural), Jal Jeevan Mission, National Rural Livelihood Mission, and the Ownership Scheme. He also directed swift action on issuing income, caste, and residence certificates to school students at the start of the academic session.
Expressing concern over the slow progress in constructing over 47,000 houses sanctioned under the PM Awas Yojana (Gramin), CM Sai stressed the need to train rural youth as masons to overcome the labor shortage. He reminded officials that free sand supply has already been ensured under the scheme and instructed them to resolve land ownership issues by facilitating low-cost donation deeds within joint families.
Further, he urged medical officers to raise awareness about generic medicines and motivate doctors to prescribe them, enabling citizens to benefit from affordable treatment through Jan Aushadhi Kendras. The Agriculture Department was also asked to promote groundnut cultivation as part of the state’s push for crop diversification.
In addition to the district-level review, CM Sai met with representatives of various community organizations at the Janjgir Circuit House. He discussed the ground-level impact of ongoing schemes and announced that the PM Awas survey deadline has been extended till May 15 to ensure no eligible beneficiary is left behind. “Providing permanent housing to the homeless is one of our top priorities under the double-engine government,” he stated.
Finance Minister and district in-charge Shri O.P. Choudhary, who was also present, emphasized the need to organize technical workshops to ensure that newly launched citizen services by the Registration Department reach the public effectively.
Wrapping up the visit, CM Sai urged officials to maintain open dialogue with elected representatives and citizens alike. “Sushasan Tihar is not just an administrative exercise, it’s a people’s campaign. We must ensure that every policy and scheme becomes a visible, impactful change in people’s lives,” he concluded.
The meeting was attended by MP Smt. Kamlesh Jangde, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the CM Subodh Singh, Secretary P. Dayanand, and senior officials from all departments.
