CM Pays Tribute to Martyred CoBRA Constable Mehul Bhai in Bijapur Encounter

TFP Bureau,Raipur, May 23, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday paid emotional tribute to Constable Mehul Bhai Nandlal Solanki of the CRPF’s elite CoBRA battalion, who was martyred during a fierce anti-Naxal operation in the Usoor region of Bijapur district. The Chief Minister shouldered the mortal remains of the martyr at a solemn ceremony held at the 4th Battalion campus of the Chhattisgarh Armed Forces in Mana, Raipur.

Offering floral tributes, Shri Sai described Constable Mehul Bhai’s sacrifice as a symbol of “unflinching courage and true patriotism.” He extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for their strength in this hour of grief. “The martyrdom of Shaheed Mehul Bhai will remain etched in our hearts,” he said.

Firm Resolve Against Naxalism

Speaking on the occasion, CM Sai reaffirmed the government’s commitment to intensifying the fight against left-wing extremism. “We are determined to root out Naxalism from Chhattisgarh by March 2026,” he declared. “Every drop of blood shed by our brave soldiers strengthens our resolve. Their sacrifice shall not go in vain.”

Highlighting recent gains by security forces in the state’s ongoing anti-Naxal campaign, the Chief Minister said that the offensive has gathered momentum over the past year with substantial progress on the ground.

Support for Martyrs’ Families

Shri Sai assured that the government will stand shoulder to shoulder with the families of the fallen heroes. “We are committed to ensuring the welfare and honour of our martyrs’ families,” he added.

Also present at the tribute ceremony were Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, MLAs Motilal Sahu and Purandar Mishra, Director General of Police Shri Arun Dev Gautam, as well as senior officers, elected representatives, and numerous citizens who gathered to honour the fallen soldier.
