TFP Bureau, Raipur, July 12, 2025: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today reiterated the transformative power of education while felicitating meritorious students and top-performing institutions at the PSY Excellence Awards Ceremony held at Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur.
Congratulating students, teachers, and schools for their achievements, the Chief Minister said, “Education is not merely for acquiring degrees—it is the path to serve society and build the nation. It is the very foundation of success in life.” He emphasized that the state government remains fully committed to strengthening education at every level.
Marking the silver jubilee year of Chhattisgarh, CM Sai noted that the state has seen unprecedented progress in education. From a single medical college at the time of its formation, the state now boasts over 15 medical institutions. Top-tier national institutes like IIT, NIT, IIM, and AIIMS are now operational, while colleges and schools have been established in remote regions based on local needs.
Recalling his own student days, the Chief Minister reflected on the lack of basic facilities in the past. “Back then, we had to travel to other villages to appear for Class 5 exams. Today’s generation has immense opportunities, and every student must take full advantage of them to fulfill their potential,” he said.
He further highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is progressing rapidly towards the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. “Chhattisgarh too is marching ahead with the same resolve,” CM Sai added, stressing the need to continue India’s journey toward becoming a Vishwaguru.
Touching upon key education reforms, the Chief Minister emphasized the effective implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in Chhattisgarh. He noted that local language instruction is now being introduced, including in tribal regions like Bastar, and even medical education is being made available in Hindi.
Raipur MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal congratulated the award winners and said that today’s students will be tomorrow’s leaders in building a developed India. MLA Shri Dharamlal Kaushik praised the NEP’s role in promoting multilingual proficiency and said the awards platform not only honors merit but also celebrates diverse talents.
