Photo Exhibition on Freedom Fighters to Open in Raipur on Independence Day

TFP Bureau, Raipur, August 14, 2025 – To mark the 79th Independence Day, the Chhattisgarh Public Relations Department is organizing a special photo exhibition at the Town Hall, Kachari Chowk, Raipur. The exhibition will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai on August 15 at 11 a.m.

The exhibition will pay tribute to the freedom fighters of Chhattisgarh who played a pivotal role in India’s independence movement. Illustrated biographies, rare photographs, and important documents related to the lives and struggles of these revolutionaries will be on display. Visitors will get an opportunity to see the life journey of local heroes and their significant contributions to the freedom struggle.

In addition to chronicling Chhattisgarh’s historic role in the independence movement, the exhibition will also feature displays on the achievements of the present state government under Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. These sections will highlight key welfare schemes, good governance initiatives, and the positive transformation witnessed in the lives of citizens.

Adding a modern touch, this year’s exhibition will also use virtual reality technology to present historical and cultural facts about Chhattisgarh, creating an engaging and immersive experience, particularly for children and youth. A quiz competition titled “Kon Banhi Guniya” will also be held, offering attractive prizes to the winners.

The exhibition will remain open to the public from 15 to 21 August, daily between 10:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., at Town Hall, Raipur. Organizers expect the event to draw students, families, researchers, and citizens eager to connect with the legacy of freedom fighters while also learning about the ongoing development journey of the state.
