Adani Foundation Strengthens Community Health Infrastructure at Patadi CHC under CSR Initiative

TFP Bureau, Korba, November 12, 2025: In a significant step toward improving rural healthcare and community welfare, the Adani Foundation, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives under Korba Power Limited (KPL), launched a comprehensive community health support program at the Community Health Center (CHC) in Patadi, located in the Kartala block of Korba district. The initiative aims to enhance healthcare infrastructure and extend meaningful assistance to persons with disabilities in the surrounding areas.

The Adani Foundation formally handed over several essential medical and infrastructural items to the CHC during a special ceremony held on Monday. The contribution included air conditioners, deep freezers, televisions, patient beds, storage lockers, waiting chairs, and air coolers—equipment that will significantly improve patient comfort, healthcare delivery, and the overall efficiency of medical services at the rural health facility.

In addition to these upgrades, the Foundation also distributed a range of assistive devices to differently-abled individuals from nearby villages. The equipment included tricycles, wheelchairs, hearing aids, walkers, and crutches, all aimed at promoting independence, accessibility, and social inclusion for persons with disabilities. Many beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude, stating that these aids would bring new convenience and dignity to their daily lives.

The program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. S.N. Kesari, Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), Korba, in the presence of Mr. Deepak Raj, Chief Medical Officer, KPL, and Mr. A. Rajaguru, Project Head, KPL. The event also saw participation from Patadi Sarpanch Mr. Pradhan Singh Thakur, District Panchayat Representative Mrs. Sushmita Kamlesh Anant, District Member Mr. Anil Khunte, CHC Medical Officers Dr. Rajni Katakwar and Dr. Ranjita Kanwar, Program Manager Mr. Vyas Narayan Kosle, and Mrs. Hemin Suryavanshi from PHC Barridih.

Senior representatives from Korba Power Limited—including General Manager Mr. Akhilesh Singh, Mr. Nitin Patil, Land Department Head Mr. Vikas Thakur, Corporate Affairs Head Mr. Atul Gupta, Mr. Krishna Katakwar, CSR Head Mr. Tajendra Banjare, and CSR Project Officer Mr. Pawan Mahato—also attended the event, along with local villagers, elected representatives, and community leaders.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. S.N. Kesari, CMHO, Korba, appreciated the Adani Foundation’s commitment to social responsibility, saying, “The Adani Foundation is taking an exemplary initiative toward strengthening healthcare and social welfare infrastructure in this region. The equipment and assistive devices being provided today will not only improve patient facilities but also create a better environment for effective treatment and care.”

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vikas Thakur, Land Department Head at KPL, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to community-oriented development. He noted that the Adani Foundation has been actively working in areas such as healthcare, education, livelihood promotion, and infrastructure development to uplift the quality of life in the project-affected and nearby regions.

The Adani Group, through the Adani Foundation, continues to implement impactful programs across Korba district. Current initiatives include the construction of RO water purification plants for safe drinking water, cement concrete roads in the villages of Patadi, Khoddal, and Sargbundia, and a series of livelihood development activities designed to promote self-reliance among local residents.

With such initiatives, the Adani Foundation is not only contributing to physical infrastructure but also empowering communities with the tools and support needed for sustainable development. The Patadi CHC project stands as a testament to the Foundation’s holistic approach to social responsibility—focusing equally on healthcare, inclusion, and long-term community wellbeing.
