CM Says Chhattisgarh Delivering on Every Guarantee Given by PM Modi

TFP Bureau, Raipur, December 4, 2025: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for a series of development projects worth Rs 195.26 crore during a public programme held in Suhela village of Balodabazar–Bhatapara district. The event marked significant progress in housing, infrastructure, education, and welfare initiatives across the region.

At the programme, the Chief Minister distributed house keys to 1,073 beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin, provided gas connections to nearly 3,000 women under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, and issued property cards to 5,000 farmers under the PM Swamitva Scheme. Beneficiaries of several other government schemes also received materials and cheques.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to fulfilling every assurance made to the people, Shri Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision is to ensure pucca houses, sanitation facilities, clean drinking water, and free electricity under the PM Suryaghar Scheme for every household. He said that the state government is working with dedication to turn this vision into reality. On the occasion of the state’s silver jubilee, he reiterated that each of the Prime Minister’s guarantees is being implemented systematically.

The Chief Minister informed the gathering that the state is procuring paddy at Rs 3,100 per quintal, up to 21 quintals per acre. The rate for Tendu leaf collection has been raised to Rs 5,500 per standard bag, and farmers have received their pending bonus for the past two years. He said thousands of women are benefiting from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana and Ujjwala Scheme, while households will soon be able to avail free electricity under the PM Suryaghar initiative. He urged citizens to opt for solar panels to take advantage of high subsidy support.

Shri Sai praised the district administration’s employment-oriented initiative “Hum Honge Kamyab,” noting that more than 500 youths have already been trained in skill areas aligned with their interests.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao and Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal also addressed the event, stating that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Sai, Chhattisgarh is witnessing rapid and inclusive development. Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma announced that road works worth over Rs 100 crore have been sanctioned for Balodabazar–Bhatapara district.

The Chief Minister made several new announcements, including the establishment of a government college in Suhela, construction of a Community Health Centre building in Tilda, and new infrastructure for a Government Girls’ Higher Secondary School and a commercial complex in Balodabazar. He also sanctioned sheds worth Rs 10 lakh each for 50 paddy procurement centres and announced the installation of illuminated road dividers along three one-kilometre stretches from the Suhela junction.

Among the inaugurated projects were 1,073 PMAY–Gramin houses built at a cost of Rs 12.87 crore, along with drinking water supply schemes in Amakoni, Hathband, Pousari, Semhradih and Khaparadih costing Rs 7.74 crore. Major foundation-laying works included strengthening the Balodabazar–Risda–Hathband road (Rs 49.17 crore), construction of the Risda bypass (Rs 20.98 crore), an indoor stadium complex in Balodabazar (Rs 15.59 crore), 717 houses under PMAY–Gramin (Rs 8.60 crore), and the construction of the Sungera anicut over the Kolhan nala (Rs 8.04 crore).

Beneficiary-oriented assistance worth over Rs 5 crore was also distributed. This included the return of Rs 27 lakh to cyber fraud victims; Rs 83 lakh under Labour Department schemes; post-matric scholarships worth Rs 4.25 crore for 8,333 students; Rs 25 lakh for 16 women under self-help group and Saksham initiatives; Rs 9.69 lakh to 10 beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Programme; and Rs 6.81 lakh to 60 beneficiaries under the “Hum Honge Kamyab” scheme.

The programme witnessed participation from Balodabazar–Bhatapara Zila Panchayat President Smt Akanksha Jaiswal, Raipur Zila Panchayat President Shri Naveen Agrawal, former MLA Shri Shivratan Sharma, State Women’s Commission member Smt Laxmi Verma, Simga Janpad Panchayat President Shri Daulat Pal, several public representatives, and a large number of local residents.
