TFP Bureau, Raipur, December 18, 2025: In a major boost to electronics and information technology manufacturing in Chhattisgarh, the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has approved the release of the first instalment of ₹22.50 crore for the proposed Common Facility Centre (CFC) in Sector-22 of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. The funding has been sanctioned under the Modified Electronics Manufacturing Clusters (EMC 2.0) scheme, marking a key milestone in the state’s efforts to build a robust electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
The Common Facility Centre project will be implemented by the Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Vikas Pradhikaaran (NRANVP), while the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) has been designated as the agency responsible for evaluation and monitoring. The release of the first instalment follows a detailed assessment by STPI, which recommended the funding after reviewing the project’s preparedness and compliance with scheme guidelines.
Officials said the project is expected to play a pivotal role in positioning Nava Raipur as a hub for electronics manufacturing and IT hardware development. The proposed CFC will provide shared infrastructure and advanced technical facilities, including testing, design, prototyping, innovation support and product development services. These common facilities are aimed at reducing entry barriers for startups, MSMEs and large manufacturers, while enhancing competitiveness and efficiency across the sector.
The initiative is also expected to generate substantial employment opportunities, particularly for skilled and semi-skilled youth, and attract fresh investments into the state. By offering plug-and-play infrastructure and technology-driven support systems, the project seeks to create a favourable investment climate aligned with national manufacturing goals.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai welcomed the Centre’s decision, describing it as a significant step towards accelerating industrial growth and technological self-reliance in Chhattisgarh. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state is actively contributing to the national visions of “Make in India” and “Digital India”, with Nava Raipur being developed as a modern, future-ready industrial and technology city.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the Common Facility Centre under the EMC 2.0 scheme would strengthen investor confidence and provide a solid foundation for achieving the objectives of “Viksit Chhattisgarh” and “Viksit Bharat @2047”. He also conveyed gratitude to the Central Government and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology for their continued support in advancing Chhattisgarh’s electronics and IT manufacturing ambitions.
