PR Department Bids Emotional Farewell to Veteran Officer J.L. Dario

Additional Director honoured after 36 years of dedicated public service at retirement ceremony in Nava Raipur

TFP Bureau, Raipur, February 28, 2026: A heartfelt farewell was accorded to Jawahar Lal Dario, Additional Director of the Public Relations Department, on his retirement after an uninterrupted 36-year career marked by commitment, discipline and administrative excellence. The ceremony was held at the Samvad Auditorium in Nava Raipur, where senior officials, colleagues and staff gathered to honour his long service.

Public Relations Commissioner Ravi Mittal led the tributes, praising Mr. Dario’s dedication to duty and his professional integrity. As a mark of respect and appreciation, he presented him with a shawl, coconut and memento, and wished him a healthy and fulfilling post-retirement life.

Several officers shared personal recollections highlighting Mr. Dario’s leadership qualities and supportive nature. Additional Director Umesh Mishra recalled that Mr. Dario had extended guidance and cooperation when he was transferred from Indore during the days of undivided Madhya Pradesh. Additional Director Sanjeev Tiwari described him as a simple, disciplined and duty-bound officer who earned respect across all levels of the department.

The programme was conducted by Additional Director Alok Dev, who presented a brief account of Mr. Dario’s professional journey, highlighting key milestones, responsibilities handled and contributions to strengthening public communication initiatives.

In his farewell address, Mr. Dario expressed gratitude to senior officers for their guidance and to colleagues for their constant cooperation throughout his career. He said his achievements were the result of collective effort and support from the entire department, adding that teamwork and mutual trust had always been the foundation of his work.

Officials present at the event noted that Mr. Dario’s long tenure stands as a model of dedicated public service and institutional commitment, and wished him success, peace and happiness in the next phase of his life.
