Women of Meera and Radha Gram Sangathan hails CM for for swift response to their demand
TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 23, 2026: Acting swiftly on the announcement made by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai during his recent visit to the LRC Centre in Kosrangi of Arang development block, 50 free sewing machines were distributed on Saturday to the women of Meera and Radha Gram Sangathan, Kosrangi.
During his visit to the LRC Centre, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai interacted with women of the Gram Sangathan, reviewed their livelihood activities and ongoing work. During the Jan Chaupal, the women demanded sewing machines to promote self-employment. Taking immediate cognisance of the request, Chief Minister Shri Sai directed officials on the spot to ensure early distribution of sewing machines.
Following the directions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, sewing machines were distributed to women of the Gram Sangathan under the guidance of Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh, in the presence of District Panchayat Member Shri Guru Saurabh Saheb and Janpad Panchayat Arang Chairperson Smt. Takeshwari Murli Sahu.
Smt. Sapna Patel, a member of the Gram Sangathan of village Kosrangi, said the group had requested sewing machines during Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai’s Jan Chaupal visit to the village on Friday, and the demand was fulfilled within a day by the district administration.
Similarly, Smt. Yashoda Mandle of Meera Gram Sangathan said the women had raised the demand for sewing machines during the Chief Minister’s programme in Kosrangi and were happy to receive them promptly.
Expressing happiness over the quick fulfillment of their demand, the Didis said that Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has understood their needs and taken an immediate decision, which is giving them new strength towards becoming self-reliant. They expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and said that this support will help strengthen the economic condition of their families.
