*Instructions issued to speed up working women hostel and mobile connectivity projects in Bilaspur
TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 26, 2026: Chief Secretary Shri Vikas Sheel on Tuesday reviewed the progress of key state projects listed on the e-Pragati portal at Mantralaya. He directed officials to speed up all projects, remove bottlenecks immediately and submit regular progress reports. He warned that unnecessary delays in development works will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against negligent construction agencies.
*Five major projects reviewed on e-Pragati portal
The review focused on five priority projects — Working women hostels at Usalapur and Koni of Bilaspur, 4G station DVN mobile tower installation project in Bilaspur, power infrastructure project for mobile towers in Bilaspur, and the Sikarsar Kodar Receiver Link Canal project in Gariaband district.
*Weekly monitoring and strict administrative instruction
The Chief Secretary directed all departments to upload weekly progress reports with geo-tagged photographs on the e-Pragati portal to ensure transparent monitoring of ground-level work. He instructed officials to resolve land allotment and technical issues related to mobile tower installations in coordination with District Collectors. Shri Vikas Sheel also directed Collectors to personally review e-Pragati projects on a daily basis and ensure faster execution.
Senior officials of the Information Technology, Water Resources, and Industries and Commerce departments attended the meeting at the Mantralaya. Meanwhile, Collectors of 21 districts, including Bijapur, Kanker, Korba, Narayanpur, Raigarh, Sukma, Balodabazar-Bhatapara, Gariaband, Jashpur, Korea, Surajpur, Dantewada and Kondagaon, also joined the meeting through video conferencing.
