Officers and Staff Honour Former Cooperation Commissioner for Distinguished Administrative Service
TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 31,2026: A warm farewell and felicitation ceremony was organised in Nava Raipur on Saturday to mark the retirement of senior IAS officer Mahadev Kavre, who served as Commissioner of Cooperation and Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Chhattisgarh.
The programme was jointly organised by the Department of Cooperation Gazetted Officers’ Association and the Apex Bank Employees’ Union. Officers, employees, and representatives of cooperative institutions gathered to honour the veteran administrator and acknowledge his long and distinguished career in public service.
Speakers at the event recalled Mr. Kavre’s extensive administrative experience, leadership qualities, and contributions to governance and public welfare. They highlighted his role in strengthening administrative systems and implementing citizen-centric initiatives across various departments.
A native of Bijapur district, Mahadev Kavre began his public service career after completing his early education in Bijapur. Over the years, he held several key administrative positions in the state and served in important sectors including defence, railways, and civil administration.
During his career, he served as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), General Manager of the Nava Raipur Development Authority (NRDA), Collector of Bemetara and Jashpur districts, and Divisional Commissioner of Raipur, Durg, and Bilaspur divisions.
Mr. Kavre also held significant responsibilities in the state secretariat, serving as Secretary of the Housing and Environment Department, Secretary of Excise, Secretary in the Home Department, and Director of Treasury and Accounts.
Officials noted that his tenure in the Cooperation Department would be remembered for promoting transparency, innovation, and effective implementation of cooperative and welfare schemes across the state.
The felicitation ceremony was attended by K. N. Kande, senior officials of the Cooperation Department, representatives of cooperative institutions, and a large number of officers and staff members.
Participants praised Mr. Kavre’s contributions to public administration and extended their best wishes for a healthy, happy, and fulfilling post-retirement life.
