Governor Deka Urges Probationary IAS Officers to Serve with Compassion and Integrity

Governor emphasizes justice for common citizens, welfare of weaker sections and sensitivity towards subordinates during interaction with trainee officers

TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 11,2026: Probationary officers of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) paid a courtesy visit to Chhattisgarh Governor Shri Ramen Deka at Raj Bhavan’s Lok Bhavan on Thursday, where the Governor encouraged them to uphold the highest standards of public service and remain committed to the welfare of society.

The delegation of trainee IAS officers was led by Shri Subrat Sahoo, Director General of the Chhattisgarh Administration Academy.

During the interaction, Governor Shri Deka extended his best wishes to the young officers for a successful and meaningful career in public administration. He urged them to remain dedicated to serving the nation and society while discharging their responsibilities with sincerity, integrity and human compassion.

Emphasizing the importance of citizen-centric governance, the Governor said that ensuring justice for the common man should remain a priority for every administrator. He advised the officers to work with sensitivity and commitment, particularly towards the weaker and marginalized sections of society.

Shri Deka also highlighted the importance of empathetic leadership in administration and urged the probationary officers to maintain a humane approach towards their subordinates while carrying out their official duties.

The Governor noted that civil servants play a crucial role in implementing government policies at the grassroots level and can significantly contribute to social welfare and inclusive development through responsive and accountable governance.

Among those present during the meeting were Governor’s Secretary Dr. C.R. Prasanna, Director of the Chhattisgarh Administration Academy Shri T.C. Mahawar, and Training Director Shri Pranav Singh.

The probationary IAS officers who participated in the interaction included Shri Gokul R.K., Shri Vadthyavath Yashwant Naik and Shri Ishant Jaiswal.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the young officers to interact with the Governor and gain valuable insights into public service, leadership and the responsibilities associated with administrative roles.
