Appointment of Specialist Doctors and Medical Officers to Enhance Health Services in the State

TFP Bureau, Raipur, April 3, 2025 : In a bid to improve healthcare delivery across the state, the Chhattisgarh Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, has appointed specialist doctors and medical officers on contract under the National Health Mission. The move is aimed at strengthening the state’s healthcare infrastructure and ensuring the availability of qualified medical professionals at various government health centers.

Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal announced that 31 medical officers and 8 specialist doctors have been assigned to contract positions across the state. These appointments are expected to expedite medical treatments and improve the overall quality of healthcare services. The newly appointed doctors will be stationed at primary health centers, community health centers, and district hospitals in both rural and urban areas, thereby enhancing healthcare access for local populations.

The National Health Mission, Chhattisgarh, issued the official posting orders today for the new contract-based medical officers. The appointed specialist doctors include:

  • Dr. Ritu Baghmar at District Hospital Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara

  • Dr. Gaurav Dani at District Hospital Bemetara

  • Dr. Ashfaq Hussain at District Hospital Dantewada

  • Dr. Santram Churendra and Dr. Richa Verma at District Hospital Durg

  • Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh at District Hospital Janjgir Champa

  • Dr. Milind Manohar Devdhar at Urban Community Center Raipur

  • Dr. Shivam Jaiswal at District Hospital Surajpur

These new appointments are expected to significantly bolster the healthcare system in the state, providing better medical services to citizens across various districts.
