TFP Bureau, Raipur, 5 April 2025: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on his visit to Dantewada, praised the pivotal role played by security forces in liberating Bastar from the grip of Naxal violence. “Bastar is moving from the shadow of red terror to the light of development, and this transformation is owed to the courage and tireless efforts of our brave jawans,” Shah said, addressing personnel from DRG, COBRA, Chhattisgarh Police, and the Central Paramilitary Forces.
In a morale-boosting interaction, Shah announced the establishment of special hospitals in Raipur and Jagdalpur for the treatment of soldiers injured in anti-Naxal operations. “The government stands firmly with you in every situation,” he assured, calling the armed forces the backbone of Bastar’s newfound peace.
Security Camps Leading to Naxal-Free Villages
Highlighting the expanding reach of state authority, Shah noted that the setting up of security camps in interior areas is playing a key role in declaring villages Naxal-free, a development critical to ensuring lasting peace and governance in tribal regions.
Cultural Revival as a Symbol of Change
Shah also praised Bastar Pandum, the tribal cultural festival, for becoming a national platform showcasing Bastar’s art, cuisine, attire, jewelry, music, and dance. “This is more than a festival—it’s a message that Bastar’s identity is now being redefined by its culture, not conflict,” he said.
“From Fear to Faith”: CM Sai on Bastar’s Transformation
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, who joined Shah at the event, said that the Union Home Minister’s presence at Bastar Pandum reflects the growing confidence in the region. “His visit uplifts the morale of our jawans and sends a strong message of unity and resilience,” he said.
Sai emphasized that Bastar is transitioning “from fear to trust, from terror to development”, crediting the collaborative efforts of security forces and central leadership. He saluted the bravery of the soldiers and their success in key anti-Naxal operations.
Unified Mission to End Left-Wing Extremism
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma reaffirmed the state’s commitment to eradicating Naxalism. “Our security personnel are working with dedication to bring peace to Bastar. Making the region Naxal-free is not just a goal—it’s our collective mission,” he said.
With enhanced infrastructure, sustained security efforts, and cultural renaissance, Bastar is scripting a new story—one of courage, cooperation, and change.
