CM IT Fellowship Application Deadline Extended to July 7

State extends application deadline to attract more aspiring AI professionals; fellows to work on real-time government innovation projects

TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 28,2026: The Chhattisgarh Government has extended the deadline for applications under the prestigious Chief Minister’s IT Fellowship 2026, giving aspiring technology professionals additional time to apply for the M.Tech. programme in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The last date for submitting online applications has been extended from July 1 to July 7, 2026.

The programme will be conducted at the International Institute of Information Technology-Naya Raipur (IIIT-NR) and is aimed at developing a skilled workforce in emerging technologies while promoting innovation-driven governance in the state.

Under the fellowship, selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹50,000, while the Chhattisgarh Government will bear the entire tuition fee for the postgraduate programme, making it an attractive opportunity for talented students.

A distinctive feature of the Chief Minister’s IT Fellowship is its emphasis on practical learning. In addition to advanced academic training in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, fellows will work on real-world projects across various state government departments. The programme is designed to provide hands-on experience while enabling participants to contribute to digital governance and technology-based public service delivery.

State officials said the fellowship seeks to bridge the gap between higher technical education and governance by creating a pool of professionals capable of developing innovative solutions for public administration and citizen services.

Interested candidates can submit their applications online until July 7.
