CSR initiative covers 41 government schools across 16 villages, encouraging quality education and regular school attendance
TFP Bureau, Raipur, July 28, 2026: Reinforcing its commitment to strengthening rural education, the Adani Foundation has distributed school bags to more than 4,000 students studying in government schools across Tilda block of Raipur district under its flagship ‘Utthan’ project. The 18-day campaign covered 41 government schools in 16 villages surrounding Adani Power Limited, benefiting students from Classes I to XII.
The distribution drive, conducted from July 10 to July 28, reached 4,393 students in villages including Bhatapara, Raikheda, Mohrenga, Mura, Chicholi, Bartori, Khamhariya, Tarashiv, Konari, Gaintra, Tulsi and other nearby areas. The initiative aimed to provide students with essential educational resources while motivating them to attend school regularly and continue their studies.
The campaign was inaugurated in Bhatapara village, where Zila Panchayat Member Swati Verma and Raikheda Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Dinesh Verma distributed school bags to students. Similar programmes were organized across all 16 villages with the participation of school principals, School Management Committee members, Gram Panchayat representatives, teachers, parents and local public representatives.
Senior officials from Adani Power Limited, representing departments including Security, Finance, Health and Techno-Commercial, also participated in the distribution programmes. The campaign was carried out under the guidance of the Adani Foundation’s CSR leadership with active support from its CSR team.
The initiative covered a wide network of educational institutions, including 16 government primary schools, 12 upper primary schools, four newly established government primary schools, seven government high and higher secondary schools, one Swami Atmanand English Medium School and one National Higher Secondary School.
Speaking at a programme in Tarashiv, Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Manish Verma appreciated the Foundation’s contribution to education, stating that providing school bags not only boosts students’ confidence but also encourages regular attendance and academic participation.
At Raikheda, Sarpanch Dinesh Verma said the Adani Foundation’s efforts extend beyond infrastructure development and reflect its commitment to the holistic development of children through education.
Addressing students at Mura, Sarpanch Kanchan Gaikwad described the initiative as an inspiring effort to support rural education by providing essential learning materials and strengthening parents’ confidence in the education system.
School Management Committee members, teachers, parents and local representatives praised the Adani Foundation for its continued contribution to education and expressed hope that similar welfare initiatives would continue in the future.
The Adani Foundation continues to implement community development programmes in education, healthcare, livelihoods and rural development. The school bag distribution campaign is part of its broader efforts to promote quality education, improve access to learning resources and contribute to the long-term development of rural communities.
