Shorthand and Typing Skill Tests to Begin Across Chhattisgarh in August

Examination centres set up in Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur, Sarguja, and Bastar; candidates advised to carry original ID proof and follow admit card guidelines

Raipur, July 29, 2026: The Shorthand and Typing Computer Skill Examination Council, functioning under the Directorate of Public Instruction, Chhattisgarh, will conduct shorthand and computer typing skill tests on various dates in August 2026. To facilitate the smooth conduct of the examinations, centres have been established across the Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur, Sarguja, and Bastar divisions.

According to the examination schedule, the English typing test with a speed requirement of 10,000 key depressions per hour will be held on August 1 at five examination centres. The Hindi typing test with the same speed requirement will take place on August 2 at five designated centres across the five divisions.

The English computer typing test with a speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour is scheduled for August 8 at eight examination centres, while the Hindi computer typing test will be conducted on August 9 at nine centres. Additional typing tests will also be held on August 16 at one examination centre each in the Bilaspur and Sarguja divisions.

The Council has advised candidates to report to their allotted examination centres according to the scheduled date, time, and batch mentioned on their admit cards. Candidates have been informed through SMS on their registered mobile numbers about the availability of admit cards for download. Entry to the examination centres will be permitted only after verification of an original identity document. Acceptable identity proofs include an Aadhaar card, driving licence, PAN card, or voter ID card.

The Directorate of Public Instruction has instructed all candidates to carefully follow the guidelines mentioned on their admit cards to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations.
